I actually chuckled out loud when I saw a Pope Francis felt plushie here months ago. I would never…read morethink of hugging the pope to sleep or having him on my bed (the horror!!!) but I guess some folks dig it. And some folks would also dig having a Manny Pacquiao plushie. I just, can't... NOPE. Anyway, other than those types of felt plushies, I do like some of Pop Junk Love's products. They're a small kiosk here in Town and they're into the whole DIY, arts and crafts thing. I was surprised to see a Pusheen plushie! Though I'm sure they have infringed on copyright here (Pusheen is actually known first as a blog with freaking adorable GIF's of bouncy cats before it hit Facebook stickers). I would still much rather order Pusheen stuff online because I would really rather support the original creator and his/her efforts. What I really liked are their papier mache cat figures! *Adds to list of must-have cat lady house decor*.

The owners/designers can get pretty crafty and creative with their designs, and they usually stick to whatever is trending in the Philippine market. Lately, they have produced Manny Pacquiao stuffed toys to support the recent fight of Pacuiao and Mayweather. Before that, they also made Pope Francis dolls to commemorate Pope Francis's visit to Manila. Now, they are growing steadily, especially with their pop-up store located at this branch. It's actually great that they are getting the recognition (and expansion) that they need, and that these sisters absolutely love what they are doing. I remember getting a Scrabble pillow to match my girlfriend's initials. The process was pretty painless, and I really like how everything turned out. Now it'll be even easier that they have a physical store, and you won't need an internet connection to complete your transaction.

You can also consider posters with inspirational messages or small ornaments with a humorous touch. What I appreciate in this store, aside from their distinct generic wrapper and gift-wrapping prowess, is that, during Christmas season, their items are arranged based on the usual "somethings" for Kris Kringle. This way possible gift items that match the assigned category for the day or week are grouped together to make selection easier. And since my birthday is coming up, I have my eyes on a stuffed panda. This shop is filled with gift ideas from the cute and cuddly to the weird and disgusting. The stuffed toys in Blue Magic are first rate. And they're not limited to just bears. They have stuffed tigers, cats, dogs, turtles and fishes. It's like stepping into the room of a taxidermist. They also have little toys that will surely be enjoyed by tykes. And then there are the gifts for the mature patrons. Condoms in test tubes that you can break open in case of emergency. They also have paperweights shaped like human excrement. Up to now, I can't bring myself to see the supposed hidden cuteness in that paperweight. Like what I said, they have a gamut of choices for all kinds of customers. So if you're looking for a gift and ordinary ones won't do, I'm sure Blue Magic has something for you.

Giving flowers as gifts has always been uncomfortable for me, and I suppose this is true for most…read moreguys. I mean there are times when flowers or bouquets to be precise are called for. Like for a junior-senior prom, or when someone is getting married, or when there's a milestone like an anniversary, or even when someone is sick or is hospitalized. I'm glad that there's this place along Dona Soledad Avenue that makes giving flowers or flower arrangements easier. Bouquets & More is also a gift shop, but they only have what I would call girly gifts. You know, the feminine stuff. Like stuffed bunnies and all that. Not that there's anything wrong with giving girly gifts to girls, but I don't think any guy would enjoy receiving any kind of stuffed animal, not even a stuffed superhero doll. As for flowers, I'm thinking that maybe I would appreciate flowers if I ever get hospitalized. The flowers would certainly enliven the drab rooms and walls of most hospitals. I think it's also fine to have a bouquet laid at the graves of loved ones, during death anniversaries and all. As a centerpiece on a dining table during special occasions, too, I guess. It's just nice to know that in this part of town, there's this one store that can let one get flowers for any occasion.

From the moment you step inside the shop, there will be a sales associate available for questions and will even escort you as you go around browsing what's in the store. They will even go as far as hold your items for you while you browse the store. Only in the Philippines... The store I visited was not that large. It was only a small portion of SM South Mall, but the place held items that were significant enough as gifts to bring overseas. And the items in store were of great quality. For example, the shirts were of sharp colors and print, and the material was high grade. And the price was affordable and reasonable. I just love the place. I always make it a point to visit whenever we're home. I'm sure you'll love it too...
