Blue line heading to Wonderland direction( get off at Airport train stop.
    Gail U.

Our hotel shuttle had the Airport T station as their stop so we could get dropped off and picked up daily. We would take the Boudin direction to get to Aquarium Stop or mainly Government Center to switch to the Green Line. The end of the line Boudin had an out of service escalator covered in dried maple leaves. In the other direction back to our originating stop in the morning we'd take the train going in the Wonderland direction, I never saw any restrooms in the T stations so if that is the case don't enter or board without taking care of that need prior. Very easy straight line. Stops are announced. Best transportation for $2+ a ride til you reach your final destination, it doesn't matter the distance or changing lines. Buy a round trip for added ease returning from any station. One card can be used for two riders. You could load $$ onto it too but keep it safe so you don't lose it.

Living in Boston for a while now most of my interaction with the Blue Line is of course going to & from Logan airport. But now I moved to the other side of the harbor & depend on it to get me into town. I was quite amazed & shocked how new the cars were. Plus most of the stations have gone through a renovation also which makes this line the most modern in the city. Admittedly it does not have the shear amount of stations as the Red or Green Line but the ones at are there are quite conventient. Government Center's 2 year closing has hampered access a bit but State Street is quite close & a 10 minute walk gains you access to the other lines. Bowdoin station definitely the forgotten orphan of the line but its in a great hidden location. Now I hope MBTA maintains this & improves the rest of the system for the Boston of today & tomorrow.

I have no choice but to take this into work, but every single day, there's always a signal problem. Every. Single. Day.

We purchased the VIP tickets after contacting them ahead of time to inquire about Military Discounts which they do offer. We also added drink tokens for $15/each. The VIP tickets help you avoid booking a specific time slot and skipping the line. We showed up Monday afternoon around 1:30. There was no line at all so if you're coming on a weekend and don't want to wait in line, maybe the VIP ticket would be more beneficial. They provide you a wrist band if you did purchase that ticket. Someone immediately greets you at the entrance with "Hey scoops!" And you wait in an area before the doors open to a room. Someone greets you there and tells you that you can pick your ice cream name before being released into the museum for your own self guided tour. We were given ice cream drumsticks, we were able to choose between the cookies and cream and strawberry options. The first trivia and information room had some interesting facts. Entering next into the aircraft room where you got to sit in a seat and are offered more ice cream - ourselves was an orange sherbet type while the "plane windows" showed a video simulation of pink clouds and ice cream etc. The fridge room was next where you could open doors and see interesting facts, short games or little small areas for children and this led into another family room with a big tv. There was a small kids walkway where you could go to show up on the tv as well. In this room, the shelves had some bells where you could ring for a sweet treat and there was also a "hidden" room with books. Funway Park was also neat and a cool game area that we enjoyed which we ended with a scoop of Caramel Apple Ice Cream and that ended the tour with a Deconstructed Ice Cream Lobster Roll and then into the bar area. Here you could get additional scoops of ice cream and drinks which we used our tokens for. I definitely recommend the Raspberry Espresso Martini - that was our favorite out of the 4 drinks we ordered in total (Guava Paloma, Breezy Shirley & Cherry on Top). To get to the Sprinkle Pool, you could either go down the slide or in an elevator. If you want to get into the sprinkle pool, shoes do need to come off. The gift shop had some small items and you get some pins for the VIP Ticket (we did have to ask if there was anything additional) Overall, I don't think the VIP ticket was worth the price and would have been fine with the general admission or flex ticket. Cool concept and definitely loved all the ice cream flavors and the unlimited ice creams. They also keep this museum very clean which is tough with ice cream and littles.

Tickets for us were $41/each plus taxes. We went at 12pm on 4/22/26. It was busy but not too crowded where you couldn't even move. As soon as you go in you are offered ice cream. Then you go to the main room and they have an ice cream bar with regular ice cream, milkshakes, cocktails, mocktails, and more. They have some cool rooms to learn all about the history of ice cream. Interactive games and more ice cream treats await. I even rode the slide down to the exit area! The only ice cream that I tried that I didn't like was the lobster ice cream on the conveyor belt. The bread that came with it was great though! Will definitely do this again.

Exit the highway, drive past the parking garage and turn left onto Blue Hill Drive, and take the left on in where it says "Amtrak/MBTA Pick-up & Drop off". Either entrance at the end will work. While the left side is more direct and closer to the Amtrak counter, the right side will take you past the Dunkin Donuts. There's a waiting area, the bathrooms are by the elevator, and only two tracks. 1 is outbound, and 2 heads into Boston. Simple. Start heading out when they announce that your train is arriving, about 8 min in advance. Head towards the right if you are Coach bound. Take a seat and the conductor will scan your ticket code and tuck a paper ticket above you. Take it with you if you change seats. If you go past NYC, the crew changes, and every passenger gets scanned again. If you are ADA and need access to one of their accessible seats, there's a way to mention it when buying your ticket, so the conductor will save you a seat in advance. Two bathrooms are available at one end of the Coach car. If the light is on, the bathroom is taken and the door locked. These are roomier than those on airplanes. So are the seats, although they otherwise resemble those found in planes with the tables that fold down and seats that recline back. 120 volt plugs are available, but no screens and no headset jacks, so no music. Stops are announced, so it felt that communication was pretty good on the train and at the station. Coming back and arriving on track 2, we had to exit and head up and over the tracks, where we could go straight into the garage, or take the escalator down by Dunkin Donuts. There's an elevator as well, which will take you to the bathrooms.

Coming from Los Angeles where I live with transportation that's struggling, Boston's system is a breath of fresh air. Not perfect, there are some delays and a bit of confusion - I'd get over it fast if I'd live there! But it's reliable, comes fast, takes you everywhere in the city, great connections. You can take it to and from the Airport (Logan) which it's a major plus! Pretty fast and easy. It is the oldest in USA (Bolyston station has a small nice museum inside, very cool!), so many stops don't have AC, but they have fans. Staff- some folks nice and helpful, some just OK. Not the cleanest, a tad squeaky, but it extends to ferry lines as well. A few nitpicks, but a solid transportation system that takes you everywhere. Love the lines that take you above ground.
