And yes, it is definitely full sized! As with supermarkets, this one does have all the usual departments. The store is quite tidy and the shelves appeared very well stocked. There is a large focus on prepared foods and ready-to-heat. The sushi display looked fresh and had a good selection. I'm hours away from my own kitchen so I did not make a full shop here. Instead, I got a light snack from the deli where I found some sliced meats and cheese on special. The gent who served me was pleasant even if his "Thank-you-have-a-good-night" was after he'd already turned away. The rest of the marked including butchery, produce, dry goods, etc all looked great. Prices were reasonable and I did not spot any holes in the merchandise leveling. The young man who rang up my purchase was polite and had an appropriate sized bag for my few items. They had eggs were $.99 a dozen and they had more than enough enough to service their customers. We picked up a few other things that I had wanted that were on sale. The only thing that went wrong was I didn't guys get home that the young fellow had taken and not only charged me for one of the items twice twice, but he also charged me too much money for another item. So I immediately called back to the store cause I was 30 minutes from the store. I called back to the store and talk to the customer service lady. She looked it up. She ended up working it out with me on the phone where she's going to take and leave me the money on the counter. I can come by and pick it up anytime. So basically it was a very good experience. It was a 90 out of 100.

Stopped in to grab some ground pork from the butcher and was very disappointed by the customer…read moreservice and absolutely disgusted by the cleanliness of the meat department. I approached the counter to ask where to find the pork, stood there for several minutes while the butcher mopped and ignored me, despite looking up. Finally went to check the cooler and found an in-store shopper to ask, she brought me to where it should be but there was none, I followed her back to the counter where the butcher was quick to come to her service, and she placed an order with him rather than trying to continue to help me. The butcher went from mopping to grabbing fresh ground beef out of the case with the same gloves he was mopping, and packing it up. In the process of weighing the meet he was also flinging into the floor of the shoppers side of the butcher counter. not impressed, and definitely would not buy fresh packed meats from this store.

I know the counter spaces are limited so the first time I was charged twice for one item I chalked it up to being a mistake. This second time the checkout guy clearly charged the item, returned it to my basket, and then recharged me again before putting it into my checkout bag. Do they then go get the item (in this case a sandwich) for themselves so the till evens out? Someone needs to address this theft!

While I really wanted - and needed - something that was "real lunch food" (i.e. something filling, like a sandwich) I wandered around and didn't feel like fruit. I saw a couple of pre-made sandwiches in the deli area, but nothing appealed to me and I was drawn back to the bakery area. You know those nice and big slices of cake that grocery stores have that sometimes have a lot of frosting? They have them, and it had A LOT of frosting and that's when I knew a day of healthy eating would be pushed to another day. Found a nice big slice of white cake and that frosting looked soooo good. I looked around for a fork because I wanted to dive into it in the parking lot, but that needed to wait until I got home. One minute through the self-checkout lane and I was off, and hurried home to get my sugar rush. It was delicious, and there was so much frosting that I didn't eat all of it (probably a first for me). After wandering the aisles, the prices seemed the same to me as those that I normally pay in Newton at Star Market, so I may need to pick up some actual food the next time I am driving by! I don't know where they might be". then I asked the front end supervisor & he also said that's not my area. With some hesitation he went to flower stand, he took a good two minutes and got me a piece of ribbon. I thought I should let the customer service person/manager or know what happened. The manager said she is on a call and she could not hang up. When I went to grab what I purchased, front end supervisor asked me why I am even there. In my opinion this is very poor customer service at Natick Roche Brothers. I will never set my foot again in that store.
