I don't need to go into my own history, however, I can say that, over the years, since I worked as a nurse , she has compassion for her clients. This quality is sometimes missing in therapists I have encountered prior to seeing and working with Mary Alice. There was a time in my life that I was having some severe depression and at times I , alone , felt like I was at the bottom on a virtual well. Dr. Many extended a much needed assist during this time. It was her excellent care that helped me to find my way into the light . Sometime, there may come a time when you feel that life is not worth living. Most people don't know how to deal with clients who are feeling this way. After months of therapy, I found myself again and she has been the key to my recovery. The first review that says it was written by James- that review was written by me, and I was using his computer. My husband and I have both been in sessions with Dr. Mary Alice Many. We both are in agreement that she is a fantastic therapist. On her psychology today page, her qualifications are listed. In 2012 she obtained PhD status, according to that website. In life, most people have issues , but many feel embarrassed about seeking professional help. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness; She accepts some insurance and you can simply find her by using Yelp, Psychology today , and her business is attached to her home on river road . She is a diamond and her help is worth the cost. I also will mention that her office is pleasant, clean and you can sit on a couch or in an easy chair. For the only non-profit 'organization' in Livingston which excepts charity/donations, but only give it to certain people in their circle is just wrong and not fair to the Livingston Parish community.
