The first time I went here was because of a recommendation from a friend. I went here to get my engagement ring resized and had such a fabulous experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I got my ring resized which I assumed would be very expensive because it has many gemstones and has an asymmetrical band. They were able to do the resizing in about a week and it was very affordable. When I got my ring back, they gave me suggestions to help keep my ring in great shape, the most helpful so far being to not sleep with it on. They also told me that I can stop by anytime to get a free cleaning. Since then, I've been in probably five times to get the ring cleaned. I'm always in shock at how beautiful it looks after the cleaning. Being an art teacher, it gets really dirty pretty quickly. It's always a good feeling to know that if I have ten extra minutes downtown, they can get it looking like new in no time. As mentioned, I've never bought jewelry here but I wish I could afford to because they have a unique, absolutely beautiful selection of jewelry on display. The store front is pretty small but the jewelry that they do have is all really awesome.

Emma guided us through the process and each step of the ring making while we truly did all the work in making the rings how we wanted them. I had an excellent experience having them resize my ring. I was turned away by several jewelers in…read morethe area because the ring I needed resized contains a lab grown diamond and apparently most places won't touch them unless you bought it there. I called ahead to ask Grant Laughter and he said "if you love it, we love it. We can absolutely do that for you." I was greeted and assisted by the owner himself who thoroughly went over my options and helped me choose a plan for resizing. I paid under $100 and had my ring back within three weeks. The girl working was so friendly, and EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS CUTE. Everything seemed so well curated. I personally was flocking to all of the jewelry; most (or all?) of it is either locally made or comes from fair trade organizations. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, you name it! There were some body products (like a dreamy cream I put on my hands), handbags, other accessories, and more. I ended up buying a unique necklace, but I seriously wanted one of everything in the store! If I lived in Asheville, this would be my go-to spot when I wanted to treat myself or give a gift along these lines. My last experience was walking into a store, having the Clerk install my battery and walking out. That was certainly not the case here. To the almost 30 minutes, it took to get my information when I dropped the watches off; to being told my watches would be done on Wednesday, only to call on Thursday, to be told that they were done, but someone needed to call me before I could pick them up!That call finally came in on Friday. And when I have needed batteries for these particular watches before , every time the jeweler has always set the time. The time was not set on either of these watches and I spent the morning googling how to do it. My then-girlfriend and I stumbled upon this gem of a shop (no pun intended) while window-shopping. We were immediately greeted by the nicest saleswoman. I actually have trouble calling her that, as she seemed more like just a super-friendly person who also happened to know an awful lot about jewelry (NO pressure at all). Despite the fact that we weren't even in the market for an engagement ring (and told her that), she invested her attention and time in humoring us by measuring our fingers, showing us any ring we wanted to look at, and explaining that the artists can customize any nature-inspired (or non nature-inspired) piece. We left that day with a business card with a bunch of tiny tiny notes written on the back. As we weren't really looking for a ring at the time, the card found its way to the depths of my glove compartment. Fast-forward 6 months, and I finally used the card. By then I was living out of state, but the crew at Zest was no less friendly and helpful than had I been their lifelong next-door neighbor. Every phone call I made was answered and every email sent was met with an almost-immediate response as they helped me design/choose the PERFECT ring for my now-fiancée. I honestly can't even believe how pleasant the whole experience was with them. They even took payment over the phone and sent the ring through the mail.
