This place was fantastic…read more We were only staying for one night on our way elsewhere when we found out the control arm on my truck was bent. Weren't even sure we'd get to go. Our stay was the next night. Called them up and they were willing to help us out with a half refund as soon as they heard what our problem was despite that not being their policy. Fortunately we were able to get it fixed before the trip and didn't have to cancel. We stayed for our one night on our way elsewhere but when we woke up in the morning we kinda both wished we'd just booked the week here instead. Gorgeous campground, the lake is peaceful and there were private friggin docks for each rv site. Wifi worked great too. Dunno, if that's universal for the whole area and I'm also not sure what the rates go to when it actually 'is' race weekend, but we were more than impressed. We'll most certainly be staying again someday.

He then escorts you to your spot and then proceeds to tell you about their amenities and emergency shelter incase of a tornado in the area. They have a store on site and they are in the perfect location if you are attending a race. We were amazed by their hospitality and their gratitude that we chose their location. As of now they have updated all the full hook up utilities, installed a super clean new playground, nice basketball court, gazebo, fire community fire pit as well as fire pits at your site, and a nice trail around the grounds. Much more to come in the future. They already have a pool area laid out. The owners are on site and the absolutely the friendliest folks you've ever met. There is a lot to do in the area, it's just a short way from Talladega Superspeedway. The owners know the area and the best restaurants around. Just a short easy way off interstate 20, but far enough that you don't get any traffic noise. The country setting is so relaxing. There aren't a lot of trees but they have planted a bunch of vegetation and it will grow!! Very satellite friendly for fellow RVers with dishes. We will be going back for sure!!

The grounds are beautifully manicured and each site has pretty, well-planned flowerbeds. Our site was level with an adequate amount of room for an F350, Harley and 45' 5th wheel. There is a train track up against the property that trains run on frequently. It didn't bother me and my husband said "the tranquility was worth the trains." We were here for Talladega race weekend and they had a Friday night happy hour that was really nice.
