They have 1 vegetarian dish which was quite tasty. I went for my lunch break today as I was doing the day shift at work in IT Park. I am not a fan of their hours but that's because I'm usually on the local night shift. They close at what is expected for restaurants in the US. However, given their location, I think they are missing the majority of their business as there are so many night shifters. Their menu looks good given you eat meat. I was a little surprised by eating at a Thai place as I'm from the US. In the IS, all Thai restaurants let you pick a protein with a km most every dish and also a spice level. Nope. You get what's on the menu. I bet you could substitue, but I didn't ask. The food was not really what I expected for thai. I had the mixed vegetables. The sauce was quite delcious....but when I eat Thai I expect some kind of heat. White rice was an add on for 40 pesos....and that is quite an expensive for white rice in the PH. I can find it for 10 pesos or less almost anywhere else. It was clean, the air con was cold, and quite comfortable seats. If you're working in IT Park frequently, it's a good stop. If you're visiting Cebu as a tourist, I recommend the Blue Elephant in the Red Apple building in Cebu Business Park. The ambience is priceless. The views are amazing. The food prices were decent and the taste was great! I didn't give a five star review because the service was a little too slow for me. One should not have to work so hard to get a server's attention if the place is not very busy at the time which was the case that night. It was a tuesday so it was on the slow end. read more

How do you party it up in Cebu? Well you gather the whole family for a huge party at one of Cebu's rooftop spot. It's no secret that rooftops get a bad rap here in the States because of idiots that think it's okay to act like a bunch of high schoolers at an elegant location with a view, but in Cebu I finally know what it means to party with people who actually have manners. No overly rambunctious, rude hooligans just my huge family mingling it up with some foreigners and locals enjoying the scene. Whatever others may rate it, in my book Blue Elephant at the Apple One Sky Lounge simply deserves nothing but a perfect five. For giving my family a party to remember, Blue Elephant will be a prime spot for me every time I make my way to Cebu. Blue Elephant is located on the 19th floor of a very prominent building near Ayala Mall in Cebu. One thing to know beforehand is the importance to have a Visa card when you visit. The reason is if you use Visa to pay for your visit then they wave the cover charge...so you better use your Visa. (Btw I am in no way working as a promoter for Visa; it's just my tip to help fellow travelers out.) The décor of the building is very chic and modern. I don't know how else to describe it but it's a typical rooftop. What I mean is it has every element of a rooftop location: unparalleled view of the city below, neon and strobe lights throughout, tropical trees that add some greenery, and a DJ that's mixing Top 40s as well as other throwbacks. Add to this some great servers and food coming out from the kitchen and you got a recipe for an awesome time. I can only describe the scene so much but I feel that a picture can truly show the awesomeness better. Now to the food. Typical Asian flare with a bit of modern fusion touch. I don't know what the dishes were to be exact because it was basically set for the party and on account that I had to be the obligatory hype man for the whole place which means I was too distracted to see what their menu entailed and see if I could match the dishes on the table. But one thing that did stand out was their pad thai. It was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I literally had a whole plate...and then had another...and then one more for good measure. Thankfully I was burning it off with some good ol' Dexter dancing. Ya'll know what that looks like. Another one was their seafood curry. The dish had a delicate balance of curry flavor without overpowering the natural saltiness of the seafood. Most importantly unlike other seafood curry that I've tried in the past, Blue Elephant's was not mushy. There's nothing more unappetizing than mushy seafood curry. Finally the third dish that I distinctly remembered was the Korean barbecue ribs. My brother raved about how good it was and good thing I was able to grab my hands on a couple of pieces because the fam bam always beat me to. As usual my bro knows his barbecue ribs. I couldn't ask for a more amazing family. I had not been back to the Philippines for almost two decades. That is a long time not to see family back home. So many things had changed but one thing has always remained the same. No matter how long I had been gone, I never felt that I was a stranger. It felt like we simply pushed life on pause and then hit play again. And boy did we hit play. I guess the reason why I party hardy is because of my family. We press play and we press it hard. This is such a beautiful restaurant in downtown Cebu. The rooftop view is a bonus. We had the pineapple fried rice, lobsters appetizer, and beef stew. It was sufficient to spilt between two people. Their drinks were also really good compared to other places in Cebu. Definitely check this place out for a nice dinner and they take credit card! read more

This place has a great view of the city. Food is not impressive. It's supposed to be a Thai restaurant but having tried better Thai food somewhere else, I think they're better off sticking to Filipino food ( most of the food is filipino anyway on the menu). Tom Yum soup was Abby salty and the Pad Thai was just okay. But if want to come and hang out then this is the place because of the location. read more

Excellent food and service. Prices are not bad either. Let's hope they don't get cocky and raise prices. Otherwise good work on bringing a great restaurant to Ayala. read more
