Being new to trailering it took us awhile to figure out what had happened and by the time we pulled over both wheel wells were smoking and it was apparent we were facing some repairs before we attempted going over the Rockies. We disconnected the controller and limped in to the Front Range of Colorado. Finding Kirby's online we thought to give them a try. When we drove in to the shop yard we were greeted right away and after a consultation (with a detailed quote for our options) we decided to have our repairs made there. They moved another job aside and got us right in. Two hours later we were back on the road. The cost of the repairs were reasonable and there were no surprises. I emailed them with the situation, and they almost immediately responded, saying what we needed and what it would cost. So we made an appointment and took it there. The people there were amazingly friendly and helpful. I asked how long they would be, and they said it would be about an hour and a half. They called me almost exactly in an hour and a half, and they did what they said they would do. And the price was exactly what they had quoted me. These guys were awesome.

We have plenty of people that can help you fix that and we probably won't even charge you". Keep in mind that I had had several people try to get this thing out and had bought several cans of lubricant that were guaranteed to work and yet nothing had worked up to this point. It was really stuck and rusted in there! I got into Autoplex and was told "no problem don't worry about it we will get it out" and they took my truck to the back. An hour later they came in and told me that my truck was ready to go, they had gotten it out and there would be absolutely no charge for this service. I absolutely cannot believe that they took an hour of their time to do this for me and did not charge me! The guy from the shop came out and talked to me personally, I believe his name was Mark Bond. He explained the process and what I should do to prevent this from happening in the future. The guy at the desk with the glasses (I'm so sorry but I forget his name, but he was super nice and helpful!) also pulled a picture up on his computer to explain and show me the new hitch I was going to be installing and how it worked. For instance, I didn't need a hitch for 3,000# or greater, just something to carry the trike. Even after we agreed that I should look elsewhere, Robert continues to discuss my needs and offer suggestions, such as contacting my bike shop. Robert went above and beyond to assist me, even after it was obvious that there'd be no money in it for them. Based on my experience, I'd return to them for a quote next time I needed a hitch for another reason.

Robert, the owner, promised to have it ready in two weeks. That did not happen. In February, we finally picked it up. When we took it camping, not only did the furnace still not work, but the entire solar/lithium battery system did not work. We took it back to have the problems addressed in April. Robert quoted an amount of $5400 to revamp the system and to install two new awnings. After 18 unanswered phone calls and several visits to the shop, we were finally contacted and told it was ready. When we showed up to retrieve the camper, we were shocked to discover that the new invoice was for a total of over $13,000. None of this was ever presented for our approval. And just now we tried to roll out the awning, and it is broke. Unbelievably terrible experience.
