For those who are new to Tastee Inn, do not sleep on the onion chips - this is a uniquely delightful onion chip that is easily identifiable once you have had one, and they are unforgettable. The correct beverage to consume with a Tastee meal is root beer; thankfully this is available at this location. As for the sandwiches - this is quality loose meat on a puffy soft bun, a little bit of heaven.

The Tastee sandwich is basically a Maid-Rite; my only tweak would be adding a double-meat option since the bread-to-meat ratio is a little heavy on the bun. Definitely worth a stop!

Look at the layers of flavor on this Manhattan sandwich (I added sprouts). However, if cold sandwiches aren't your thing, they have amazing salads, soups, and everyone tells me about their fabulous cakes. Specifically people rave about the Italian wedding cake. They have great coffee drinks, a stellar atmosphere, and the owner Ron has adorned the walls with his wonderful photography. This is definitely a local's favorite, but if you're visiting, you need to stop by and see why. Also, I LOVE the shops on either side of this coffee shop as well. Sioux City Gifts has obviously fabulous gifts and Sioux City specific items, but on the other side is the most adorable flower/plant shop you will find.

Their meats & fish are far superior to any other Mexican restaurant I've been too. Much higher grade & quality. Their service is quick, courteous & friendly. It's very clean. They make it right in front of you. It's absolutely delicious... I could go there just for the chips & guacamole! You can never go wrong with their steak fajitas. Again the steak is another level. The birria tacos are excellent. They have a full stacked bar. Their margaritas are great. Highly recommend.

I have liked everything I have ordered here over the 7-8 times I have been here so far. One curious thing was on our most recent visit when 2 friends and I ordered skinny margaritas: they delivered them 2/3 - 3/4 full (in short glasses) with a ton of ice. We mentioned it to our server and he had some sort of explanation that didn't really make sense, but, regardless, it seems they should do whatever it takes to give us each a full margarita. It was delicious, though!! The service has always been great. The ambience is good and the bathrooms are always really clean and well-stocked.

Then we waited 10+ minutes until someone came to greet us and get our drink order. There were 5 people working (not counting the two working the sushi counter) and maybe 6 tables sat. Finally, a professional and courteous server (Rodney) approached us, surprised we hadn't been helped yet. So he served us! Rodney was awesome, and he made it worth the wait. The food was excellent. One of us had the Udon dish and one had the garlic green bean chicken. As an appetizer, we shared a Philly roll with rice paper instead of seaweed wrap. We both agreed that this sushi beat any other local sushi for us. I have to say our entrees were top notch as well: high quality, fresh ingredients with excellent sauces and flavors, served in large portions. We both brought home at least one more meal. Add-on proteins like chicken and fish were only one dollar! The place was quite clean. Solid bar selections! Wine list is pretty limited, but a generous pour! Everyone at the checkout/host stand was very polite as we left. Because of the quality, cleanliness, and Rodney's service, I think we just found our new favorite local Asian spot in the area!

The guacamole stole the show though with it's freshness and technique! And although it was thin, the queso was addicting with the fresh, warm chips! Hands down will return when in the area!
