I said no, I checked in online (I thought she meant a physical ticket) and she snapped at me and asked me if I "even called to make sure I have what I needed." I showed her my phone (the ticket) while she continued to be pissed off under her breath. Turns out, I did not need my last name changed and she changed her tune very quickly after seeing my ID. Maybe because I'm younger and explained my parents had me as teenagers so I had no clue about anything I was doing? Regardless, I've NEVER had someone who is working speak to me like that. Absolutely not okay. Either she needs better training or she needs to find a different line of work. I've never left a bad review before, but her attitude towards absolutely warrants the one star.

This is the Mushroom House in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati. The amount of detail is really breathtaking: circular steel steps, deck rails of wood shingles, stained glass windows, tiled ceilings... of course, I had to snap some pics. How often do we come to Cin City. The original owner/builder by the name of Terry Brown has passed away in 2008. Never did I think I would write any review of a BMV, let alone a 5 star one, yet here I am…read more Here's something I didn't know- BMV locations are independently owned and operated. This location is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was getting my federal compliant ID and had heard stories of people having to make multiple trips. I checked online ahead of time and was pretty sure I had what I needed. I was greeted at the door by a friendly gentleman who confirmed I had checked in online properly and my space in line was reserved. I filled out a form and waited just a couple minutes for my number to be called. The person at the counter was friendly and helped me with my ID and two license plate renewals, with some nice conversation while she completed the registrations. All in, less than 15 minutes later, everything was done in a quick, professional way and I was on my way! Hard to believe you can enjoy an experience at the BMV but it's true! Next time you need the BMV, I recommend this location.

Tennis and basketball courts? Yup. Amphitheater? Of course! Ok so this place has a lot going on for it. Yes it's also the main community hub, The police station is located here, and the firehouse on the other side of the property, but there is a lot to do here. There's the Rec area that is pretty much a smaller version of a YMCA, pool, gym, workout equipment, meeting rooms, etc. In the summer the local pool is also located here. Behind the buildings and the Police Station is an expansive Park. There's shelter houses, sports courts, an amphitheater, playgrounds, and plenty of parking. It's a great spot to just relax, and its free to visit this Hamilton County park. :)

There are also lots and lots of children's books and audiobooks for all ages. PCs available for use in 1 hr increments. It's best to come while kids are in school. Once school lets out kids and teens are usually on all the PCs. This library is in a beautiful building with some interesting architecture but it could definitely use some new paint on the inside. Definitely worth a visit.

I had to go on a dreaded Saturday to renew and get an updated driver's license because I was flying…read moreout of town that afternoon. I wanted to make sure I had the proper documents, (and if TSA would really accept an expired license because there was no way to find out from the airport.) But when I called the BMV the day before, whoever answered wasn't sure. When I tried to call back before going many times, no one ever answered the phone. Of course Saturday is crazy busy, with parking even hard to find. I'd recommend going on a weekday. The system for waiting was very efficient, with a machine to enter your cell so you'd be texted, as well as your line number displayed up on a monitor when ready. I only waited 15 minutes, which wasn't bad considering the crowd. The driver's license renewal went smoothly. I guess there's some kind of system back up, because my license had to be mailed out 4-6 weeks later. They gave me a print out of it I could use wherever needed. There was major confusion though over our handicapped hang tag. They'd given us one with a wrong number on it previously and told us to come back in for a new one (in a handwritten letter.) The clerks asked for the letter, which we didn't have. They decided after talking it out amongst themselves in front of us that our current tag is fine. I really hope so! I was also able to register to vote and change my address at this bureau. Tips: they take cash, credit or check. This bureau also does title transfers and title service, has a notary service and many other services.
