Glossed over an empty…read moreapology, took zero accountability or acknowledged any of the concerns, denied the "many unfounded allegations" listed on the DSS website even though many of them were the results of surprise inspections where they were cited for multiple code violations, saying every school recommends Genius Kids (blatant lie, their favorite kind), accusing me of taking every possible avenue to say negative things about them? I wrote a review and added it to Yelp/Google. Way to make it sound like it's my life's mission to take them down by any means necessary. Thanks for the laughable attempt to gaslight me yet again. And how interesting that hours after I post my review, 2 people who list their location as SJ and Fremont, with only reviews for those areas, post reviews raving not just about GK, but specifically the owners? BLATANT LIARS. The trend you will see from the owners here is that they will deny issues, lie about what happened, lie about rectifying issues, but ultimately do absolutely nothing to address any problems. Screen-time: I have never heard of a daycare that utilizes screen time. That should have been the first red flag. I see another review here that calls them out on it and someone from Genius Kids lies (they do that a lot) and denies it flat-out. The Genius Kids Brochure lists that screen time is used (Picture attached), but it says that only Little Einstein Videos are shown, and that screen-time does not start until 5 pm, which we didn't think would matter since we pick-up before then, but I picked my son up at 4:30 one day and found the children sitting and watching Baby Shark on a tv. I emailed the owner and explained that my son has extremely limited screen-time, and when he does get screen-time he only gets educational and low-stimulating shows like Daniel Tiger, Peppa Pig, or Miss Rachel. I pointed out that screen time was not supposed to start until 5 pm and she assured me she would talk to staff, but it continued to happen consistently and her response was simply "Tell me if it happens again," and nothing would change. My son came home singing Cocomelon songs and talking about cartoons we have never even heard of and absolutely would not approve of. The children were watching YouTube videos when we picked him up between the hours of 4:00 and 4:30 pm more times than I can count. Please talk to other parents whose kids have gone here and they can confirm the children watching mindless youtube videos before 5 pm. Daycare costs way too much to have them just plop our children down in front of a screen and rot their brain. Toileting: One day we picked our son up and noticed he had been left in the pull-up he wears at nap-time (it had been several hours since nap and no one had noticed it or taken it off). We let it slide, but another day we were told our son had an accident. I sent a message asking for more information because it was concerning to have an accident after so long without one, and I got a message that it happened before nap-time. However, mixed in with his wet clothes was a wet school bedsheet, which lead me to understand that he didn't have an accident before nap, the staff forgot to put him in a pull-up for nap-time and he peed while sleeping, resulting in a wet sheet and clothes and then LIED ABOUT IT. Sunblock: One day my son came home clearly sunburned. Genius Kids requires all children to be sent to daycare with sunblock because they claim to put sunblock on children before outdoor time every day. The next day at drop-off, my husband talked to the owner and pointed out that our son was sunburned. The owner told him that we should put sunblock on him before we drop him off. Sunblock does not last all day! It needs to be reapplied every 2 hours AND immediately before being outside, which is why we assume they require children to provide their own sunblock in the first place. Refusing to take accountability and trying to shift blame onto us was appalling. Any one of these issues would be cause for serious concern, but shockingly, this isn't even close to all of the troubling incidents we experienced at Genius Kids (consistently spelling his name wrong on all of his work, when they were supposed to be teaching him to recognize and spell his super common and easy to spell name). The site is clearly understaffed and the staff they have seriously lack proper training. I refuse to allow Genius Kids to hinder my son's development, neglect, or mistreat him and I would encourage any parent to steer clear of this place. There is a preschool/daycare center smack dab in the middle of little old Aromas. Yes, of course my second thought... but is it any good? do I just get what I get and deal with it? NO! Dear ABC Staff, you are truly amazing!! You loved and cared for both my 3 and 6 year old in a way that made them wake up and want to go to school. What more can you ask for right? Kris and her entire staff are a gift from above: loving, genuine, understanding, and professional. They are involved, they care, they take their work personally. As a mother- this is what I want. A warm, comfortable yet structured place for my kids to feel at home. Unlike larger franchised big-box centers who seem more concerned with keeping up appearances and their reputation (yuck). ABC is a quaint place but not small. There is a separate space for school aged kids (where my 6 year old was) and for the preschoolers. There is a good sized blacktop yard with lots of space for biking and playing, there are two separate sandbox/play structure areas as well and a really cute garden full of sun flowers. They walk the school age kids to and from in the am and pm. Snacks are provided and even a microwave for the bigger kids to heat up their pizza (for example). ABC was always clean and tidy. They even took some time off (with plenty of notice in advance) to revamp their center for the benefit of the kids. During summer months they kept their program interesting and fun. Price wise - You definitely get maximum bang for you buck. I was paying around 3200 up in the Bay Area for the same hours. Insane right? And on that note, Kris was always able to work with me during times when I got a little off schedule. We all hate to admit that those things happen but they do and she did not blink and eyelash to help me get back on the horse. I could really go on and on but I'll sum it up with this - when we left I shed a tear because I have never seen my kids happier than at ABC.

The curriculum design is outstanding. The school places a strong emphasis on core academics and genuine teaching. As a parent, it was incredibly reassuring to see a school dedicated strictly to academic excellence and traditional core values, without being distracted by the non-academic social and gender topics that are increasingly prevalent in public schools today. It gave me great peace of mind. I also have to mention how beautiful the campus itself is. The building features gorgeous high ceilings and real wood floors. Unlike so many modern schools that can feel sterile and lifeless--almost like a hospital or an office building--Stratford has a warm, welcoming, and truly premium environment. It genuinely feels like a luxury, top-tier private school. My daughter needed some extra support in math, and her 5th-grade teacher, Ms. Hannah, was a blessing. She was incredibly patient and took the time to help my daughter step-by-step, not just in math but across all subjects. Because of this, my daughter felt comfortable, confident, and loved learning in her class. She also made great friends and got along wonderfully with her classmates. The administration and staff are phenomenal. When we had to make a very last-minute transition to Stratford in 2025 after the school year had already started, Ms. Andrea from the admin team quickly and efficiently handled our enrollment, making a stressful situation so much easier. We also had wonderful experiences with other amazing teachers, like Ms. Ashley and Ms. Patricia. A special shoutout to Stratford's unique Music Class! The music program is fantastic, and the music teacher is exceptional. Our whole family, especially my husband and my mother-in-law absolutely loved the winter and spring programs the school put together. Not only are my kids learning a lot, but they are happy to attend each day. Some things I love about Elida is how caring she is with the kids, the healthy meals she cooks, and how she makes each child feel special. I feel at peace going to work knowing my children are in great hands. Bonus, my children are learning Spanish! I plan to enroll my kids in a dual immersion program once they're ready for kindergarten, so it's important to me they're being immersed in the Spanish language at a young age.

The area is huge, yet well maintained and the management is constantly trying to improve their processes with ideas of bringing a computer learning room, sports classes for interested kids in pipeline. A big shoutout to the new owner Nikita and the wonderful teachers trying their best to take care of the kids , making them learn new things with fun activities. The owner lies repeatedly and discusses confidential information with other parents. My child has reported disturbing things to myself and my spouse that have happened here and, yes, it has been reported. The owner of this establishment has intimidated the staff into covering up issues, so to hell with them being mandated reporters, it is our responsibility as parents to speak up for what has happened. Please be sure to do your homework on investigating daycares before placing your child in their care. Be sure to look up complaints filed with the Department of Social Services, just because they are unsubstantiated does not mean they did not happen, they just could not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. To the other parents who have pulled their children out for similar issues, please speak up, otherwise it will continue to happen!
