Went here with the missus to pick up flowers for a friend. Being from Finland, where it costs a billion euros for a postage stamp, she thought the flowers were reasonably priced. I thought they were quite expensive, but I'm used to getting flowers from a friend in Motherwell. We picked up a 'money tree' or something or other. A friendly wee shop that is a bit cramped inside but well stocked with alot of different flowers to choose from. A part of me wishes I worked in a florist. This one would do nicely. read more

I think I must have been a florist in a previous life. There's something about the buckets filled with different kinds of stems and foliage that makes me swoon. Cleverly arranged gifty bits and pieces certainly help, and a some fully made and wrapped bouquets finish it all off nicely. Blooms, then, ticked all my boxes. Beatifully designed inside, they have bits of vintage-looking furniture topped off with candles, teddy bears and picture frames as well as a whole wall full of flowers. The walls are painted lime green which, although sounds hideous, is actually very clever. The different coloured flowers stand out wonderfully against it. Another bonus is that Blooms is not as expensive as you might think! They have some pre-made bunches for as little as £4.99, although their range does stretch all the way up to £25 and £30 bunches. (Guys, they're probably for when you've done something REALLY bad). All in all, I will be staring into the windows of Blooms wistfully for some time to come. Or, at least, until that time when I come up with some excuse to justify buying myself a huge bouquet. read more

Very, very disappointed. Ordered flowers for my mother's 70th birthday to be delivered to Callander (FK17). ________________________________________________________________ The delivery was a day late and the majority of the flowers had been substituted for other varieties. This was extremely disappointing, as I had specifically ordered a bouquet with my mother's favourite flower - freesias. The bouquet delivered was largely made up of roses and lilies and not as described on the website - "mauve Roses accompanied by blue Aconitum, Veronica and lavender and white scented Freesia." Elaine at Blooms has apologised for the delay stating that an email was prepared advising me that the delivery could not be made on the date specified. This she has attributed to the 'rural' location, however on further investigation "it appears the email was never sent." ________________________________________________________________ Her response regarding the bouquet itself is as follows: "The reason why some of the flowers had to be substituted is due to the location, as you are probably aware the area is rural." "We only have one member in this area who has a limited stock." "We do try our best however sometimes we do have to substitute as per our terms and conditions." ________________________________________________________________ As a gesture of goodwill Blooms have offered me 20% off my next order and for a delivery of freesias "the next time the florist is able to get some in" but sadly I think it is time to find another florist who is more capable of servicing a "rural" location. read more

There's just something about the smell of fresh flowers and earth that makes my senses tingle. I stopped in Blooms for a gander (couldn't really resist) - it was, after all, coming up to a friends birthday. I popped inside to see what deals, if any, they had on their flowers. I was surprised to see that decent sized bouquets were from £25+ (most other shops in the area charge around £30+ minimum), and they had a massive selection to choose from - and I was informed by the lovely lady behind the counter that if there was anything that wasnt there, but I knew I wanted, she could order them in and send the flowers on. Excellent. Unfortunately the flowers were slightly out of my budget, however, I'm keeping Blooms in mind for the next time I need some flowers delivered. read more

My husband buys me flowers in person from here and they are fab. I therefore ordered flowers from here for my daughters 18th birthday to be delivered as she stays in student accommodation near buy. Wish I hadn't bothered dead in 2 days ,£45 flowers,£6 delivery. Shocking, never again.!!!! read more

I recently got a very expensive bouquet of roses delivered by blooms and was very disappointed. Of the 12 roses, 3 had black sports and one had its head snapped off and was lying in the arrangement. I emailed the shop to complain and did not receive a response. Very disappointing customer service and value for money, would not recommend them. read more

I think all the other reviewers work in the shop or know the staff as I have been given flowers from this particular shop and they were withered and wilted on delivery. When I contacted the shop to complain I was advised by the manager that it was her that made up the order and she seen nothing wrong with them. I found her mannerism to be abrupt, dismissive, and condesending. When I commented I wouldnt have purchased flowers in this condition from a supermarket, why should I accept them from a supposedly well known and respected florist, her comment to that was " I am fed up with people commenting on supermarket flowers to me, I couldnt buy flowers for the price they are selling" This indicates to me that other customers have complained and compared the standard of quality of supermarket flowers to compare with hers. This tells me I am not the only one with a gripe. She did replace the flowers, and when I contacted her that day to ask what her oppion was on the ones uplifted she told me they were ok, even though they were withered. I asked if she thought they were acceptable, her response was. well, not acceptable but they were not in that condition when they left the store. She was full of excuses, anything except accept responibility. I would not use blooms again and I will ensure that anyone I know intending to send flowers does not use them either. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and this was the manager/owner!! I would not rate this store at all read more
