It was an exciting day for sure!…read more The only H&M I had ever been in before was in Dublin, Ireland so I had pretty big expectations. I was not let down! Our location is much larger than I expected. It's the best use of space this location has ever had! The store was very clean and of course aesthetic. This location offers women's, women's plus, men, and a kids section. I gravitated towards the $4.99 shirts and $9.99 jeans. The pant sizes are mostly in European sizes (basically, waist inches) which makes the most sense to me. The fitting room was very clean and organized. The associate was more than happy to grab me another size. I ended up saving 20% off my pants and snagging them for a little over $7. All I had to do was text my email to a number to receive the discount. I LOVE that this company offers a clothing and textile recycling option. You can bring in your used textiles to be recycled and receive a 15% discount. The cashier told me you could bring in a piece every time you shop and still receive the discount. Helping reduce waste and saving some money? That's something I can get behind. I will be back and this is definitely one of my new favorite stores. I hope this location stays around for a long time!

I specifically asked them how they do their business with their consigners and the 3 of them in the office stumbled over their words to explain to me that they give 30% of what they will sell the items for. Absolutely fair if that was what they ACTUALLY do... but it's not. Instead you MIGHT get 5% or if you are lucky 10%. Those Nike shoes they will sell for $25... they gave me $1 for them. I didn't want to make a scene and call them out but in heinseight... I should have and taken my stuff and left.

But today, I felt an employee was lurking, watching me look through the racks and I was uncomfortable. A piece of clothing had fallen to the floor near me, that I don't think I dislodged. The employee came right up near me, and hung it back up. I apologized despite not being sure I had done it. They said nothing back me, just gave me a dirty look. At that point I put back the shirt I was planning to pay cash for, and walked away. I glanced over my shoulder and they had already snatched up the shirt and moved it back to what I guess was a better spot. I just smiled as the person glared. Needless to say I won't be back for a loooong time if ever. Who treats their repeat cash paying customers this way? Three stars is generous, it's for the merchandise selection only.

The owner, Priska, is the heartbeat of this wonderful vintage/antique store. Priska is so friendly and knowledgeable. What an impressive selection of items! I've been to many antique shops, but the Victorian Parlor has more variety and "good stuff" than anywhere I've ever been in the U. S. One could get lost for hours in this store. It's a glorious trip back in time! The Victorian Parlor is located in lovely quaint downtown Paducah. The store was once a Western Union office. The flooring and walls bear evidence of this! I would happily return to Paducah and The Victorian Parlor anytime. And hope I get a chance to do that soon! You should go!

This antique mall is set-up very nicely (don't forget to go upstairs!) and I found it much easier to walk through than some of the other antique stores we've visited this week. The vendors in this mall seem to maintain their booth spaces on a more regular basis, which is nice. My S.O. always had his eye on vintage cameras and there were a lot of them here. Karen (who's a doll, by the way) was the only employee working at the time and was pretty busy wheeling and dealing for the customers. Apparently you can make offers on items here as well and staff can call the seller(s) for you. I left with a NWT (new with tags) fanny pack for my cousin (she collects them) for less than $4 and a couple of plants from a cute booth that someone had. Had this seller offered more plants, I probably would have bought her out. We were in here for about an hour and spent around $12. Masks are required and there's a big bottle of hand sanitizer available when you walk it. By far our favorite antique store on Broadway in downtown Paducah. Recommend.

Upon entering the store we were welcomed and told about the current sales. I believe this may have been the owner working. Displays were nicely done. Second Time Around seems to sell primarily clothing S-3XL sizes, shoes, handbags, accessories, but there was a room in the back of the store that had furniture and nice higher-end home decor. Would love see an expanded menswear section. I found the prices to be reasonable. We weren't looking for anything in particular and I was lucky to score an upscale branded blouse for only $3! Store is easy to shop and not overly crammed with merchandise, which I appreciate. They've got some cute fall sweaters for sale right now. Masks required. Recommend!
