I really hate to leave a less-than-steller review for a small business, but I was just surprised…read morethat such a highly rated place did not meet my expectations. The staff were very nice and courteous. They took me in as a walk-in right away on opening. I needed a mani pedi, so I picked a color from their wall, which had a good selection of polish, though some looked very old and dated. Their pedicure chairs were nice and well kept. The service I thought was ok, since the technician took such a long time on my feet and hands. Unfortunately, the final product was not that good. My cuticles were not taken care of properly, which resulted in the manicure job flaking and looking messy immediately. It made me sad because if all I needed was color on my nails, I could do it myself and do a similar job. The pedicure was very uneven. I think they are used to doing gels, powders, and intricate nails, maybe they were having a hard time with doing a regular old manicure job.

I love this salon. The setting is relaxing and quiet. It is very clean and the staff is wonderful.read more

I didn't have an appointment but they took me as a walk-in. The staff were very welcoming and the spa was very clean inside. The jello pedicure is exactly how it sounds. I put my feet in jello!! It was so soft and squishy and it really made my feet feel good. A whole new spa pedicure experience. I enjoyed being asked during everything if the water temperature was okay and if everything else was okay. It's always nice to be checked on to make sure the client is comfortable. There was also a wide selection of colors! I would definitely return !

It stated on the card that it was good for one year, Today they took that card away from me and said they will not honor it any longer and gave me a card for 15% off. The 20% card was good until December. They changed their policy. I said I will no not be back. They said that is OK. ..really? Their prices are very high $48 for a powder dip manicure, but I would pay for good quality service. Shame on you for issuing a discount card and then reneging on your own deal! Get it together Gee Nails or you'll be out of business soon. People don't like to feel like they're being taken advantage of... remember there's a Nail Salon on every corner!

On top of that, all of the nail polishes at the salon are old! Every nail polish I picked up was almost empty. The color I chose, the nail tech had to keep adding polish thinner to. They have the nerve to charge $55 for a basic manicure and pedicure, especially one that was done so quickly and looks horrible. If you are going to charge premium prices, give premium services. I would never return to this salon.

I write this review in tears . I am extremely emotional due to many health issues my husband has…read moresuffered - limited time I have free-- - I recently moved ( map quest in photo - I live 5 minutes away 1.5 miles from here) Had a 8:15 appointment - Walking to my car my elderly neighbor was so upset she lost her hearing aide . I stopped a few minutes to help her. When I was on Merrick Rd at 8:18 - see photo I called to say I was going to be few minutes late GPS said I was two minutes away . Before I could even speak I was told I couldn't get nails and pedicure since I was late. At 8:21 only 3 minutes later - I walked in frazzled and upset I was late and almost already in tears -- it is hard for me to cut of time for myself. I prob came off as rude- didnt say hello when I walked in and abruptly stated it was only six minutes. She kept telling me how she left her two kids home and came in for me. I had to get someone to sit with my husband to try to do this. I bought a certificate on yelp - figured let me use that get nails done and figure out pedicure later. With all the back and forth is was getting later - and she kept saying it it now 8:26 now 8:27 I said just do my nails so I can use certificate - she refused to service me . I wanted her to refund the certificate -- told me to get out and threatened to call police!! Now I am so upset and on border on a melt down. I couldnt refuse to take 5 minutes to help my neighbor - I could have said good morning when I walked in. I could have and would have left earlier if I knew my neighbor needed me for a few minutes. Now I am out $40 and didnt get my nails done and have to figure out a plan to find an hour or so to do it at future date. We were both upset but six minutes is hardly a big deal. and I called when I was 3 minutes late. I left my water bottle in shop - after I drove a very short distance - parked and walked back to store. Door was locked - knocked on door a bunch of times then at 8:29 called .

I was given an attitude from the very first interaction I had with the incompetent owner while trying to make an apt. They apparently don't communicate with each other. I wasn't greeted with a hello or how are you I was scolded for being "late" bc the owner who again is obviously incompetent and also a huge bitch told her I had an 1145 apt. I wouldn't even send someone I hated to this location. The way the owner speaks to people is absolutely atrocious. How they have customers that enjoy going here is beyonddde!
