The results was scary and there at hospital they never let me out and doctor Popat came by hospital tell me I have 3 blocked artery and can't go and he said he is surprised about me not having a heart attack yet . He had me stay at hospital and get a heart bypass surgery immediately saving my life. the care I got from him and his staff was incredible and god put him on my care to live . I recommend him for all cardiology related problems as he is superb in heart knowledge and a great doctor with care for his patients.

In the hospital they said they were contacting her hear doctor for tests, on 2 occasions. The tests never took place in the hospital & even though this doctor, was aware of the hospitalizations & requests for tests. Whether or not this doctor took the time to read the reports, I will never know. What I do know, is he did no follow up testing. This lack of regard & respect for his patients, wound my mother in an ambulance, calling ahead to the hospital, to prep an Operating room. They rushed her in, cut off her clothes & put a stint in, ASAP, thus literally saving her life, due to this doctors neglect & disregard for his patients welfare. If you love yourself or anyone with heart issues, I definitely would not recommend this guy. As far as I am concerned he should have lost his license, my mom was minutes from death, thanks doc! What's a girl to do? Thank God for people that know their bodies & the EMT's, that knew their jobs & went above & beyond!

But all of the closest parking was empty but blocked off as valet spots. Then if you enter the first doors, you are told this is the Women's pavilion and are directed to exit and walk to the next building which is the Heart Institute. A very attractive, open, airy building and nice rooms. We aren't asking for much, but would like to get a question out before being cut off. Oh and if you can get the question out the response will probably be "I don't know, that's not my job." My mom asked over 2 hours ago what time her surgery is tomorrow. That's when one nurse said it's not her job to know. The other nurse said she'd be in to talk to her, guess what?? She went home for the night. Didn't tell my mom anything. This is the type of service we have been getting since my mom came in on Thursday. Another nurse was supposed to bring medicine but decided to go to lunch in stead. I'm so completely angry right now. Wish I could take her to a different hospital.

0 stars is a more accurate rate in my opinion. Dr. Sami Elchahal is the absolute worse cardiologist…read moreI've ever seen or met. My husband has been seeing him since June 2025 until now and not once did he run any type of test on my husband other than checking his blood pressure and doing an ekg. My husband has complained numerous times that the medication is causing him extreme chest pain (angina) and making him feel extremely weird. Dr Elchahal practically blows him off and my husband has had to go to the emergency room just to get any type of help. When going to a visit we've spent more time in the lobby than actually talking with the doctor. My husband has gotten more help and answers from multiple er visits than from the doctor himself who is supposed to be monitoring his progress and helping him get on track to improve his health not help him spiral downward. He's never taken my husbands health seriously he basically made a free check off of him. He has done absolutely nothing to help my husband with his overall heart health. No information on the medications that were prescribed. No information on the proper diet and exercise. My husband is literally in worse shape than when he originally started seeing him. I'm to the point that I might look into legal advise because I feel like my husbands health was being toyed with when this is a serious matter that literally can be a life or death situation if not treated properly. There's always some type of "miscommunication" between him and the office. Then when you hound them down about doing their job you get attitude from certain staff members and even the doctor. Why be a doctor of any kind if you're not going to take care of your patients properly? This has not only put a strain on my husbands overall health but it has caused us to switch cardiologists due to his negligence.

I was referred to West Coast Arrhythmia Center because I pass out weekly, low oxygen level when I'm up and about and I have severe arrhythmia's including, SVT, PVC's, PAC's, A-Fib, A-Flutter and my doctors told me that I need a pacemaker and a 3rd cardiac ablation for the SVT with A-Flutter to save my life. This big jolly man could not contain his laughter as he informed me that I never should have had any procedures and that I don't need a pacemaker. This man crushed my Spirit, threw me into a depression and I'm trying to pull myself out of. My pulmonologist continues to urge me to find another EP to do the pacemaker and my cardiologist put me on another cardiac monitor to Laugh at West Coast Arrhythmia Center to verify the previous Loop Recorder and Hospital readings. This man did more harm then any thing to me and my family. I hope he is treated the same way he treated his patients and their family. I'm in distress and need help, not a laugh and slap in the face. Very unprofessional.

I have not been at this hospital since my mother was a patient in 2012 and it was known as…read moreUniversity Community Hospital. I developed the ultimate respect when they took the stance to help my mother with long-term dementia...BCBS wanted her transferred to a county health center known as a dumping ground. They "held her hostage" for a week until Blue Cross approved an appropriate, incredible care program which ultimately placed her in a facility she LOVED and where she thrived for 8 1/2yrs. A lot has changed since then. I was asked by my out-of-state son a few weeks ago to take a phone charger to his father who had been admitted the day earlier into ER. I thought it would be an easy trip, even with my permanent concussion leaving me "weak" in formerly strong mental abilities. I drove in and immediately got lost. I saw tall buildings, a parking garage, winding drives. The ER was no longer a recognizable building with a parking lot. It had its own drive with four valets stationed. I panicked; I didn't know what to do. One of the valets came up to me, I explained my brewing meltdown re where to park. He calmly spoke to me and offered for me to pull a bit down the drive, park there by the door, and he would watch my car while I went inside. ER certainly had grown, was packed, but staff was calming and made sure I had help to where I needed to be. This was not going to be easy as my son's dad is my ex and I know his temperament. He was in his room, glad I had the cord, mad that I didn't have the charger portion which he had not said he needed.... hospitals often have extras of those. He was not pleasant, but the nurses were incredible. As I stepped outside his room, they approached me, one with a hug to calm my nerves. One, later told me her name Dylan M, said she was going to have Rachel H help find the piece he needed. It took a while to find one...I was so glad they did because he was not pleasant with anyone having to go in or out of his room to tend to his needs. Sorry to be so wordy, but I had asked their names and their supervisors' names because I wanted to make sure I wrote this review. The supervisors are Erics Avellan (mgr) and Jordan King (asst mgr). I had Dylan write the four names on a piece of paper for me. CB, my nickname for my "other half" Concussion Brain, must have misplaced the piece of paper when I got home. I couldn't find it anywhere! About 15min ago I opened my Bible and turned to the next set of verses I was to read. Yes, God made sure these angels would get their due review. God, bless these women, the job they do and the staff they work with to help their patients. The heartfelt way is still at this hospital....it may have grown, its name may have changed, but I have the same love and respect for the heart they put into their jobs!

Nurse Gabrielle- Patient Education could certainly use some drastic improvement- alongside with her bedside manner- she couldn't even explain why there was a discharge... She will also lie in discharge paperwork. "Notes from Care Team".
