After seeing a couple other doctors for laser treatments in the past for my small broken capillaries and suffering burns to my skin from them using too strong of a lasers for my delicate skin, I hesitantly decided to give Dr. Vessely a try and I'm so glad I did! Each time I have seen her she zaps all of my little red marks and they instantly disappear. She's very precise. Also, going to her is a very pleasant experience. She's soft natured and professional and will gently remind you to keep out of the sun, use sunscreen and basically teach how to keep your skin healthy. I've been to her office at least three separate times over a few years time span and each time was just as good as the last. The cost per session I recall was around $200 or so for the small areas on my nose. The little capillaries do come back after a few years but she said that's just the price you pay for having transparent skin. When I get my next ones, I will be back.

My brother and I brought her to the appointment unaware of the ramifications of the procedure that was done to our mom. Once we moved from the waiting area to the examination room, we watched an animated video about what to expect. The video was irrelevant and not at all what was done. We witnessed decisions being made in the moment by the doctor without consultation of patient nor family members. We had no idea with the initial paperwork, video and conversation with the doctor that this was going to be the procedure. We were in shock to see how much skin was removed from the top of her head. We could see the bone of her skull after the procedure. We were initially informed the appointment was to be a scraping of the suspected area, and then tested for cancer. If cancer was present, another scraping would be done. Scraping is not the word for scalping. The cut was deep and bloody and not reversible or repairable. This was very traumatizing and long term imprinting for all of us. We were at the center most of the day (8 AM to 3 PM) with everything from nurses shift changes to doctor and nurses scrub change of clothes. My mother is STILL suffering/recovering from that initial procedure along with the one that took place after (Mohls Flap surgery) with no other alternative solutions presented or conversation. In review, if someone wants to go to this particular center, they need clear and concise communication PRIOR to any procedure. Maybe even some signed paperwork? Hello? Bedside manor? No. Disappointing to say the least.
