We were in Portugal for our daughter's wedding in Sintra. The newlyweds treated us to a chartered boat tour the next day.
We arrived at the 'Bom Sucesso' Marina via Uber and opened the port gate with an access code.
The crew of two was already waiting for us upon arrival. After everyone was on board, a short briefing ensued and it was sails away.
We were provided with complimentary alcohol and NA drinks as well as an elaborate charcuterie board.
It was nice and sunny out which made for pretty pics and videos. Alternative views of Lisbon's iconic landmarks such as the
Torre de Belém, Monument to the Discoveries, 25th of April Bridge, Sanctuary of Christ the King, Port of Lisbon, MAAT Museum, Champalimaud Foundation and Sculpture of Light to name a lot, were fodder for my phone's camera.
This jaunt took about 4 hours which was about enough. We did a quick river dip but the current was not for the uninitiated. The water was chilly also which didn't help at all.
Overall a nice experience. Our first time on a sailboat all to ourselves. read more
