Per the IRS, I was instructed to file by mail as e-filing was not allowed. The lady working there was extremely condescending and told me the IRS doesn't accept handwritten 1040s. A simple Google search will show that is a lie. While e-filing is preferred method, they will accept handwritten forms. The lady simply did not want to help me. She could've said she did not offer manual tax write ups. I also asked if she would be willing to write up the forms digitally so they could be physically mailed in and she stated she would not. Lazy, rude and unprofessional. I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

I have to give big props to Lorie! She makes getting your taxes done fun. Fun? Okay, maybe not…read morefun, but it sure was quick and easy. After a year with a lot of changes, we knew that our taxes were going to be a little bit more involved than in years past. We made an appointment with Lorie and she gathered all of our information and tax documents. She was very helpful in giving overall tax advice and answering our questions. We were done with our office visit in about 25 minutes and she told us our taxes would be done in a couple of weeks. We had a few questions and pieces of information that came up after our initial meeting, and Lorie was easily accessible via email, often responding within minutes. A couple of weeks after our in-person meeting, Lorie had our taxes done and we simply needed to go in and sign them so that they could be filed. Easy! It was such a nice experience, compared to the hassle of going with a big national tax firm and having to sit there for an hour or more in a not-so-private office while they complete your taxes. It was also better than using tax software or an online service since we were able to deal with a person and ask questions and get advice on what to do given our changing circumstances. We have definitely found our go-to tax person and know that we will be in good hands in years to come.
