I'm sharing my prior experiences with Mia in hopes of saving a family the trouble of investing their time and money. Unfortunately, I fall among the category of negative reviews and can wholeheartedly relate. I am sure many other families have chosen not to waste their breath and time by not leaving a review or confronting Mia about any negative experiences they might've had. As I've held back on leaving a review and turning a blind eye. This past weekend with the Highland Cow Mini Sessions was the final straw. To begin with, falling back to August 2021, and 100 percent able to relate with Keli Lawson. We had a beautiful experience in the studio and capturing our daughter's newborn photos, but were completely blindsided by the additional cost of the digital images. I assumed the digitals would have been included, as there was never any mention during the duration of our session. We were handed a card and were told we would be notified once the photos were ready. It wasn't until AFTER we had a phone call appointment set up to go over the cost of collections. Going back to that conversation, I believe each image was $50 individually, and if we wanted all of the photos that were taken that day it would've been $750 in total. And of course not being left with any other choice or wanting to pick and choose which image I wanted, I went ahead and paid over $1,000 to have those memories captured of our daughter that we wouldn't have back. Fast forward to December of 2022 and the announcement of an opportunity to have a beautiful Christmas card and pictures captured. I took it upon myself to give Mia and her company the benefit of the doubt and invest my money in this beautiful opportunity as I was pregnant with my son at the time and wanted to capture pictures of my daughter and me together. On the day of the session, the overall experience Mia displayed seemed unwelcoming and wanting to get the pictures over with and to the next family. Being the sentimental person I am, I want to have pictures of my son's first Christmas session and pictures of my children together. I considered it and gave it another go in hopes of receiving pictures of my children together in the end. Unfortunately, this was not the case and things took a turn for the worse on Sunday. To begin with, my car died 3 hours before the scheduled session and I had to wait an hour and a half for roadside assistance. I immediately informed Mia and said the only thing she could do was push back my time as it was nonrefundable and she stated the fees were split between multiple parties. I even asked if we could reschedule or transfer the fee to another session but again said she couldn't and wouldn't. So I was expected to rush within a 2.5-hour window after having my car just died. Get home, somehow get myself ready, and along with my two-year-old and 8-month-old then turn around and drive an additional 20 minutes, in hopes of getting there before 5:00 pm to just get 5 images taken that I had already paid over $200 for. I will go ahead and attach pictures of the conversation, along with the rest of my review as it is too long to post here, as well as another review I found posted from a military wife. -To take away from this situation. It is clear as day, she is inconsiderate, extremely unprofessional, prefers quantity over quality, and is just in it for the money. She does not stay true to her testimonial as she claims to be confident in every post she does to promote her work and line of business. I will agree she does beautiful work and many others may have had better experiences than I have but I just hope my review can allow the next family to beware and alert the time and money they're investing and entrusting someone to capture precious moments with their families and babies or someone that comes across a similar situation like mine in hopes of it being handled the complete opposite.- UPDATE: Mia called my children's father out of nowhere yesterday morning asking to sit down and speak to BOTH of us and crying over the phone to try gain sympathy and said I was "slandering" her name by leaving a review about my experience and that's how she feeds her family. Yet turns around and says I'm "harassing her" after just getting off the phone asking to speak to us. As if this lady wasn't malicious and trashy enough, she threatens to sue me for supposed "slander and litigation." And her "lawyer" advised her to refund us and retain our images. When booking with a true professional, it is important to know they will spend the time they need to in order to get the shots you want, whether that be 15 minutes or 2.5 hours. We booked our newborn session with Mia a couple of months before our new baby arrived. When baby arrived, we scheduled her newborn session. Unfortunately, Mia's child fell ill the night before our session. But we really appreciated the fact that she rescheduled our session instead of exposing our new infant to illness. We rescheduled for several days later, which wasn't an issue. When we arrived for our session, Mia had the studio nice and warm for our sweet little one and she had all her props set up and ready to go. Our precious little angel decided she had slept enough for the day and really fought sleep the entire time. Mia was amazing with her and worked her magic to get a few good sleepy shots. She worked well with our other children for our family shots also. In all, we were in the studio for 2.5 hours, which was longer than expected, but Mia wasn't finished until she got the shots she wanted. She really is the "baby whisperer!" We are overall VERY pleased with the way the session went and we cannot wait to see the finished products. Thanks so much, Mia! read more

Mia is a phenomenal photographer! You can definitely tell how experienced she is! I booked her for my third baby girl's newborn photos. She has every single detail covered! From the temperature being just right for a newborn, the sound machine, and allowing baby to eat or nurse in between the session. She handled my baby girl with ease and grace. She is a pro! My baby girl even had a accident in between the shoot and Mia was so professional and kind. I cannot wait to see the photos of my beautiful baby girl! Blissful Lens did my daughters new born pictures. Mia was soooo professional to deal with. I had never done newborn pictures and she walked us through every step. The pictures she took are one of my most treasured possession. I would STRONGLY recommend her for newborn, engagement, family, etc. Her professionalism is out of this world. just got done w/ my newborn session w/ Mia & when they say she's a "baby whisperer", they're not kidding! my baby is already typically calm, but always is wide awake if you mess w/ him but as soon as Mia got him, she put him to sleep so fast & he stayed asleep! all of the posses i thought he was gonna fuss about, he was so calm! she's truly gifted! 10/10 recommend! love her!! read more

Absolutely the best photographer in the Big Country! Mia is the best at new born pictures, weddings, family pictures, ALL of it! I am not good at being photographed and she positioned me wonderfully in our family photos! She has done our new born pictures too and oh my goodness, it's like an art!
