I have been coming here for little over a year now, super cute place. My sister and I see Gwen, she does an amazing job! If you are thinking about coming here I would recommend her 100%! On the other hand recently i had an experience with a tech named Kae due to gwen not being available and it was the worst lash experience i've ever had. My lashes are clumped together, glue was on the inside of my bottom eye lid and she was super rude! I see Hilda to get my lashes done and receive compliments constantly! She does the volume lashes on me usually. The only thing that sucks is I developed an allergy to the glue and now have to use the sensitive glue which doesn't last as long. I've always gone every 2 weeks to get refills but with the sensitive glue I start losing a significant amount in a week. Everyone asks how my lashes are SO long and says they don't get the same results when they ask for long lashes.. Keep this in mind: they put one lash (or if you do volume lashes, 2-3 lashes) on EACH individual lashes, so results WILL vary if you don't have that many lashes already! I have a lot of eyelashes naturally, and they are pretty thick so they hold the longer lashes up easily. Again, I use volume lashes and they are length: 13's on the end and 12's in the middle. One thing I love about Blinx is they don't require an automatic recurring payment like many other lash studios. read more

Low ball come-on for low quality lashes. I called and thought I'd asked all the right questions; are they individual lashes, how long does it take and how much. The answers yes they are individual, cost $89. So I booked the appointment. Once my lashes were done I realized they were not individual nor did they look close to natural. They actually looked as if a caterpillar was resting on my eyelids. Worse, I was told I owed $130 for the two caterpillars!! During my 3 mile drive home the left caterpillar started molting as the poorly glued hair plugs began to fall off. Once I got home I removed all them all with some oil. The experience was a complete waste of time and money!! Please do yourself a favor and go someplace that actually does what they say and for the amount they quote you!! read more

Yuli did a BEAUTIFUL job with my lashes! My one complaint is that she was not very gentle. The other thing I did not care for was, the second I sat down, she criticized my eye brows and kept pushing me to get microblading done by her. I understand she is trying to promote her business but she didn't have to critique my eyebrows because I happen to like them the way they are. I've been getting my lashes done for about a year now. I recently moved back from Washington state and needed a place local to do my lashes because I'm not sure if I can live without them now. I LOVE the fact that I don't have to apply mascara anymore. The one thing I hated to do when putting on my make up. I searched and searched the web to find a place that looked nice and that I could also afford. Getting your lashes done in Houston is MUCH more expensive than getting them done in Kennewick, WA. When I was looking in Houston proper the prices ranged from about $200 to $350-ish. And the refills were even too expensive for me. I was used to paying about $50 for refills. While searching I ran across Blinx Lash Studio. The prices were very reasonable and even though I already had lashes from Washington and really only needed a refill I knew that I was going to have to pay full price because I was a new customer. Celina applied my lashes. She was very professional and did a great job. They looked great! I was impressed... she did a much better job that what I had gotten in Washington, and she was much faster than what I was used to. Since she went so quickly... I was worried that they wouldn't look good. But to my surprise... they DID!!! When I went to pay... after browsing the small shop they have there... I was surprised again when she didn't charge me FULL price for a new set. She only charged me for a refill... BONUS!!! I was super happy!!! I will and HAVE recommended Blinx Lash Studio to all my friends. I've even had a friend go in after seeing the great job they did on mine and have hers done too. Hers also look GREAT! If you've been wondering if this is something that you'd like to try... this is the place to give them a shot. You wont be out too much money... and you'll feel BEAUTIFUL afterwords. When I wake up in the mornings it already looks like I have mascara on without having to do anything. Here's one thing that I don't like about having false eyelashes... and it's no ones fault, it's just the nature of the beast. They are much stiffer than your normal lashes and take some getting used to. If you sleep on your side, you may have to adjust the way that you sleep because if you rub them a lot, they'll fall out quicker. I've found that if I leave mine alone, they'll last me a good 3 to 4 weeks before I have to go get a touch up. Oh, and when you wash your face, it is hard to wash your eyelids... you have to be careful to not touch the lashes. Other than that, I LOVE... LOVE... LOVE them! They are totally worth it to me. I feel like it keeps me from messing with my eyes too much... hopefully that'll cut down on my wrinkles. haha read more

I wasn't even going to give lash extensions another chance until a friend of a friend told me about this place. I wish I came here first. Was pleased by the service but the actual product not so much! I give it 3 stars as every time I had a problem Yessica would try and fix it, but I had asked to get in on a Saturday afternoon and she had said she left and would get me in the next day which was a Sunday! I had explained it was urgent as I was leaving on Monday out of town and I had just received a fill and over 7+ lashes had just fallen out and on the other eye they kept sliding downwards into my eye! And after brushing to help rearrange they just fell out! So with all being said I was under thee impression she was making a special apt for me on Sunday (which was also Easter) I got to the studio and as expected I think she either forgot and didn't realize the day as she was not there! Hilda is amazing! I decided to get lashes again after a two year break. I told Hilda what I "believed" I wanted, and ended up disappointed with the length (way too long for me and what I was hoping to achieve). Instead of blaming me or getting frustrated, Hilda simply told me to come back the next day and that she would redo them! She said "if you're not happy, I'm not happy". I am so appreciative that Hilda is a true professional and actually cares enough that she would allow me to come in after her last appointment of the day the following day to completely redo my full set. I've had lash extensions two other times. First time was at a spa and paid big $. The girl did a horrible job. Lots of glue clumps. Second time was at a nail salon. It was the biggest nightmares in my beauty history. I ended up taking them off with acetone polish remover. Yes people! Don't try it at home! So needless to say I was skeptical about getting them done again...any place, by anyone. Regardless of the good reviews it would be my luck to end up with a trainee that does another horrific job. So after reading the two recent reviews I said lets give it another try. Well I'm glad I did! When I called for my appointment I didn't ask for anyone specific and got Kae. Again I was a little worried because there are no reviews about her on here. (Which is why I'm posting one.) I have to say I am 100+% a satisfied customer. I honestly do not have one complaint. I'm in love with the price, the fast application (45min), the technique, and Kae. I went with the Blinx Lashes. The single layer method. I'm very curious about the Longmi Lashes (the multi layer method) but the Blinx was a good start. Not quite ready to pay the extra cash for the Longmi just yet. read more

Update: so to be a little more clear whenever you get your lashes done here they put some kind of gel on your lashes before they start applying the extensions and when they are done putting the extensions on they put some liquid on them after, and this liquid has a very strong chemical odor and burns for a little bit. So After talking to a certified lash artist that has been to this place to get her lashes done has told me that this place uses some kind of sealant after applying the lash extensions and that is what was all over my eye lid and caused my lids to have burns on them, that is what also made my eyes react so bad, again, I've gotten my lashes done at 2 different places, before and after I used blinx and never have had a "sealant" be applied. After my lashes fell out I noticed that 4 of my real eyelashes would fall out with the extension this lash artist has told me that it was definitely not put on right and the work was sloppy, I never received any phone calls from the business and tried to call them a couple days after I noticed what had happened and no one answered. read more
