She was very impressive and within a week, the blinds were ready to be installed. No wonder why Costco has this company on their vendor roster. They did the homework so you don't have to!! When we moved to our new home, my front windows (3) put me on display. I don't mind it during the day, but not so much at night. However, since I am wheelchair bound, I wouldn't be able to get up and down to open/shut the blinds; but I didn't want to keep them closed all day. The owner came out to measure and recommended blinds that could be open/closed with a remote. It was a lifesaver!! I have had them for about 1.5 years. I couldn't be happier! We bought automatic roll up shades through Costco which were contracted through Express Blinds and we were very happy with the results. Trish has been the owner of this company for years and is extremely noticeable and professional. She is quick to respond to questions or concerns. The installers did a great job and recognized the problem we pointed out and resolved it immediately. They truly desire the customer to be satisfied and happy with the product and the install. They worked quickly and were very patient with questions. As soon as the blinds came in, they contacted us and scheduled our install within days. Although the automatic shades were expensive, we feel like they are very good quality and worth the expense. We would highly recommend Express Blinds. Very professional and personable staff. I went with them because I have a Costco membership. My blinds and roller shades are great! The Roman shades over my screen door-- not great at all. They look ok from the living room, but from the backyard it looks like a shower curtain because of the lining. Paying $2k for a window treatment that looks like a shower curtain, is uneven, and too heavy to pull up did not meet my expectations. I am waiting to hear back as to whether they will allow me to get something else. If not, I will have to cancel the entire order. I love Costco, but I didn't have a great experience with this company. I will say Trish scheduled me in even though she was already booked, because she wanted to keep me happy. Do not trust this company. They improperly measure, do not give an itemized list. They also use you credit card without permission to pay for a final payment when the job is not complete. Then tell you we always do it that way. They did not call for authorization and missed a window. Paid themselves anyway. We are not satisfied and will have to go to small claims court . Built new contemporary home in the desert and did not want any curtains or plantation shutters. We included in the plan having motorized shades especially for any windows facing the western sun. Trish was so attentive and met us at the house during framing as we wanted the shades to essentially disappear into the ceiling. She measured, provided the framer with details for every window on sizing for the space and electrical connections so we were able to have those built and framed out with electrical. We got everything ordered and when we were ready, the installers came out to start the install. It took several visits because of the size of the shades and the height of the ceiling. They were very detailed in their installation, making sure everything was just right. They turned out great and work so well with our home automation. Can't recommend them enough. We actually just hired them to do another shade for us, this time outdoors to block the morning sun, also motorized so we can set the schedule to come down at sunrise and then go back up later in the day. We were first informed that our shutters would take about 6 weeks to be installed after our window measurements and order was placed. This was not the case, at 8 weeks I called since no had called and was informed that it was going to take another 4 weeks for the shutters to be available. That is not the worst part, the worst part was the quality of the shutters and the installation. Our shutters did not only have minor scratches, but had nicks (chips) in several places. I've told them my concerns and they said they would send someone when my shutters that were order incorrectly order would be available (probably another 3 months), which is when they plan on addressing the problem. My problem is that they are claiming to do a great job and we trusted the company because they were at a local Costco Warehouse. Now we have shutters that we paid a lot of money for, but don't seem as high quality as we initially believed they would be. By the way, do not trust their installer... he claimed our windows were not even thus his work turned out the way it did.... Mind you this is a brand new home built 4 months ago. read more

Very disappointed in the plantation shutters we purchased. There are sizeable gaps between the slats and the frame. The shutters let in more light and draft than the inexpensive blinds they replaced. The issue of light and air coming in was something we told the sales representative we wanted to avoid. The quality of the shutters is less than what we expected. Credit card was charged immediately upon final installation. Contacted Blinds Express regarding our dissatisfaction but no response was received. read more

Ordered Shutters for our entire house. Tech rep, Christy was in and out so fast I didn't have time to think. I had to call her back to check on the color, then another call to ask how the blinds would be divided. Then I had to call again to see the size of the blinds. Very unprofessional. Could have avoided all of this if she would have taken thirty minutes to show samples and discuss layout. My bad for giving her a check on the first day. Now 15 months and $5700.00 later one of the caps on the pulls came off and they want $60.00 to tap it back on. read more

I ordered two blinds through Costco which used this firm. At first they seemed very responsive. The rep, Christy, came out within a few days to measure and told me to expect approx a four week turnaround. After a month passed, I left several messages for her. When she finally called back she explained that she could not fulfill part of the order and I could cancel or she would look into alternative options. I asked her why it took so long to tell me this and she explained she was dealing with a family matter. When I asked about the remainder of the order, she said she would get back to me. She never did. I called her two more times but never heard back. I contacted the owner of the company who seemed surprised but made no apologies for Christy's lack of follow through. The owner explained that the vendor was missing data so they still hadn't cut the blind. Clearly no one was monitoring the order. If I didn't stay on top of them, I'd still be waiting. Finally eight weeks after placing the order, our blind was delivered. Looks great but not sure the savings was worth the wait. read more
