In August I dropped my pups off for a bath and a two day board. I asked for their baths to be given…read morethe day I would be picking up. On the day I arrived for pick up, I paid the agent and waited for my pups to be brought up front. When presented both pups were wet, covered in urine and feces and of course a horrible smell. I was told "yeah we bathed them the day you dropped them off, after their bath they rolled around in feces and one smeared it all over his kennel". I was shocked and disgusted and made my discontent known. (My pups are crate trained and will not relieve themselves in their bedding unless deprived the opportunity) I was told since it was the weekend maybe they weren't let out in time and definitely no staff is available to bathe them. I was told to bring the small one back next week and we will comp her bath. I left with two stinking, wet, poo covered pups to take home and bathe. Since this is my regular vet and not much choice in Selma, I let a little time pass and returned 4 months later to board my pups again, this time with discussion and reminder of last time events and understanding the pups would be fresh and clean for pick up. Today I went to pick up, paid the bill and waited for my babies to be brought up front. When presented, they smelled like skunk and clearly had not been groomed recently. I was told "they were bathed 4 days ago, we only give baths certain days of the week". I again was shocked and disgusted by the care given to my pups. When I reviewed the bill I already paid there is over $120.00 of injections I never approved or even had a conversation about. The vet first said "let me educate you, state requires vaccines before I can board your animals". Upon inspection of the $120+ injections given it was determined both pups were administered "pro heart guard" heart worm treatment NOT required by state to board an animal. Vet then taunted and belittled me several times over the fact could I or couldn't I afford the $120.00. Vet also attempted to demean me by talking about my deceased grandmother and Sunday school teacher. Horrible experience for my pups and myself.
