When you enter, you're greeted by a huge wooden Chief Wasatch sculpture at the entrance. It's kind of hard to miss and gives the whole place a bit of character before you even step onto the paths. From there, it opens up into this really clean, green space that just feels well cared for. And clean is the big thing here that matters. It feels like the park is well maintained. The grass is lush, the landscaping is especially pretty in the summer months, and there are tons of mature trees that give you shade without making the place feel closed in. It strikes a nice balance between open space and cozy, private areas. The walking paths are another highlight. They're easy, flat, and perfect if you're just trying to clear your head or, like me, take a quick break and stretch your legs. You've also got little views of water here and there that add to the calm vibe without turning it into a full-on destination park. What's kind of impressive is how much is packed into one place. There's an amphitheater, sports fields for pretty much everything, a pool, even an outdoor ice rink when it's in season. The park has playgrounds, picnic areas, and pavilions, too. The park is open year-round and is clearly a local favorite because it's always buy, but the crowds never felt overwhelming when I was there. There's enough space to spread out, which helps. Overall, this park is not trying to be anything flashy, just a really solid, well-kept community park. Easy to walk, nice to look at, and surprisingly relaxing for a quick stop. Definitely one of those spots you end up appreciating more than you expected.

Cons: It's an older stadium that doesn't have a ton of frills (and don't expect any to come, as the Bees are moving to a new stadium soon), concessions options are just okay--nothing amazing, and parking can be a hassle, as the lot across the street is reserved for VIPs, and there aren't any free parking lots in the area (so you have to pay for lot parking or find street parking)

And looking at the other reviews, it seems that there is far more to this park than just what I saw. I need to come back and continue to explore. The softball complex has great seating, large bathrooms and is well maintained. There's good lighting for night games and good visibility from any seat in the bleachers (I know, I moved around a lot-I get restless.) There's also ample parking nearby. I did opt to park a little further away from the field, knowing that some of the folks on the team I was watching can hit a ball pretty far and I didn't want to fix a broken windshield.

It felt like it took forever to get to the baseball field to meet up with my friends. I specifically came here for Taylorsville Dayzz and it was so much fun! Everything is opening back up so it felt like everyone and their dogs were out frolicking the green area. Lots of carnival rides, vendors and crafts for sale. Long long lines, but the 30 minute firework show made up for the wait.
