A teenage boy turned across three lanes of traffic directly in front of me while I was going 50 mph. I was driving a Honda Civic Coupe, and he was in a Super Duty Ford F150. I remember my life flashing before my eyes. I was taken to Piedmont Hospital by ambulance and later sent home with three broken ribs, stitches in my knee, abrasions on my arms, shoulders, and legs, and bruises across my chest and abdomen where the seatbelt saved my life. This was despite clear evidence to the contrary and the sworn statement of the Georgia State Patrol officer who was the first responder at the scene.
