This lawyer stood out to me because they all looked friendly in the group photo. After he got the money for a very simple will he was difficult to respond to phone call questions. His mannerism was arrogant. He would ask me a question and then cut me off when I attempted to answer. I acquired Jenifer Behme for my child custody case and after 3 months, nothing done, and $6000 they feel that "they no longer have the authority to handle my case" when I asked for a reasonable payment plan. Under their representation my ex took my kids away from me for 3 months, I was assaulted twice, once by my ex, and once by my ex's boyfriend and resulted in myself getting a broken jaw and undergoing surgery. Ms. Behme was very incentive and did not care one bit. When I emailed her about my ex going crazy, pending felony charges, and being homeless with my children, she responded with a billing statement. These people do not care about the lives of families and only want money. I trusted these people with my family and they showed their true colors. read more

Mr. Blake is more interested in getting in your pockets than winning your case. We wanted to go in front of judge. After 18months we parted ways. All Mr. Blake did was review our file multiple times and emails. Mr.Blake did not follow our wishes. Mr.Blake is rude on the phone and Mr. Links a partener listens in for double charge. My phone records said 15min Mr Blake charged 40min. Mr. Links charged 40min. Who is this guy. I was not the one in charge but I called Mr.Blake out on his lack of professionalism. My lawyer was Megan Gilbreth - no communication, I was in the dark the whole time - she didn't seem to care about my case - I have nothing positive to say, but it seems this law firm likes money. I had the absolute worst experience with this law firm. I hired them to represent me as I tried to take my ex husband back to court to modify my custody arrangement. I attempted to change one simple part of the agreement dealing with college tuition. They took over a year going to court. Back and forth meeting with a judge, doing everything my ex's lawyer wanted as they kicked the van down the road month after month. They charged me an excessive amount of money to essentially do nothing for me. After I tried to fire them they sued me for payment for services not rendored. Do not use this law firm they are terrible. I'm hoping my complaint to the bar association is processed swiftly. read more

I also had a terrible experience with this law firm and I advise individuals not to use Blake Law Group for any of their legal needs. I was scheduled with different attorneys and one was very inexperienced that always had to refer to Mr. Blake. She scheduled me for a court appearance which she was unprepared and then the firm charged me for her time!!!!! It was not my fault that she did not have documentation and research accurate!! I am a single parent trying to establish support for my child and ending up wasting money/time and my case was closed without any resolution. So I am out of thousands of dollars and have to hire another attorney that is competent to establish a order for child support and joint custody. Please don't go to this legal firm, they are the worst that I have ever had to deal with, they impose a financial hardship on you and your family instead of helping resolve your legal issues!! I feel like the Blake Law Group pulled a bait and switch on me. I originally retained Jennifer Behme, whom seemed very knowledgeable, then was assigned Megan Gilberth without explanation. Megan Gilberth has absolutely no business practicing family law. She is not knowledgeable on the subject. I hired the Blake Law Group to represent me to get arrears removed and obtain a modification of my support order. I found more information on my case on Google then I did from her. She does not respond to emails, calls, or voicemails. I only met with her a few weeks before going to court, she didn't remember meeting me before while in court. The results in court were laughable. I am now in worse shape than before hiring the Blake Law Group. Ms. Gilberth refused to fight for me. I already felt like a caged animal because of a narcissistic ex-wife that has manipulated me and my children. Now I'm in debt to a horrible attorney with a resolution that I could have been had without any representation. She knew the history of the judge we were to argue my case in front of but failed to tell me that most of my evidence would not be admissible. The whole case could have been over for the $500 retainer. $10,000 later and I am worse off than before. After complaining about Megan's service to the managing partner, Edward Blake, they firm withdrew from my case. read more

What a JOKE. Went 3 weeks of not returning phone calls, e-mails. Finally got a bill for over $800 on a Monday called and the secretary told me they would use my retaining fee towards fee and made an appointment to talk to Jennifer on Thursday, well Wednesday got a bill for over $1200 wasn't worried cause suppose to talk to Jennifer the next day. NO CALL instead got a certified letter saying their dropping my case due to non payment ALL WITH IN A WEEK. called and demanded to talk to Blake got a call from some Nathen. Charged for reading e-mails that were never read. When Blake screwed up my income in court and called to talk to them never again got a phone call back instead i got an e-mail. I ended up having to hire another lawyer to fix their mistakes they never told me about motion to reconsider you only have 30 days to file. They didn't care about me or my family we spent $3750 and would have been better off to not even show up for court on my own. If you like just giving money away with no result call this law firm, if you prefer someone that will help call ANYBODY else. Finally had enough called and asked how much i owed and was told after my last payment I was in the good not including my retaining fee then they tacked on more charges and took all but $79 saying they had to do more work after I was told i'm getting all of my retaining fee back. read more

I had a horrible experience with this law firm. I hired Ed Blake as a custody lawyer. I was sent through four lawyers total in their firm and got no where with my case. I was even scheduled with a new lawyer once only to find out it was his last day at the firm. Like that guy was going to spend any time with me going over my case. If anything, this law firm put me in a much worse place than I was at the beginning. I truly felt like all they were doing was sucking money from my wallet.
