Cost aside service was horrible she didn't really do anything for me I basically paid her $7,500 to accept the same deal that the public defender already offered me and then before I even accepted the deal I was trying to have her negotiate a few points for me but she wouldn't stand her ground I guess is what it was something she then proceeded to tell me that I needed to hurry up and make up my mind she was tired of making the trip from her office all the way to the courthouse. And then after I accepted the deal and had to do some weekends but there were some clerical errors I would say on the courts behalf and I had questions and I needed her to address the court for me or call the assistant State's Attorney or whatever she basically told me about no she did tell me she's no longer on my case the case has been settled and that's it she's not my lawyer anymore but if I'm not mistaken I paid lawyer is to represent you until the case is dismissed closed or you've been found guilty you know what I mean like I don't understand just because I signed a piece of paper saying it that I'll be on two years probation my case wasn't over she's horrible at her job she doesn't have the nerve to stand up and fight for her clients because my case was illegal search and seizure wrongly accused then that was used against me to in their eyes be able to search my vehicle and then give me bogus charges and she she was willing she said to go to trial but of course I'd had to pay 2500 more dollars and that's not including the hourly rate after that so it was 10,000 just to go to trial and then it was attorney fees and filing fees and all that on top of it so you can see how someone that had a public defender for 2 years and continued the case couldn't afford an attorney really didn't have the money to really go to trial but let alone pay all them fees so you see how somebody can just basically get bullied into accepting the deal and just do not hire this lady stay away from me they're Law Firm

My soon to be ex husband (ex) signed on with Randy Steele in late October 2024 to start divorce…read moreproceedings. Since then, the advice he has given him is bordering on (if not actually) criminal. First of all, almost a month later, his lawyer has made no contact with me whatsoever. On top of that, the advice he has given him has been: 1. A car that was gifted to me by a family member and solely in my name, is marital property (which is untrue), and he can keep it, even though when he left, he told the police that he would make arrangements to give it back within the week (there was no other vehicle here for him to leave in). Arrangements were made for the following Thursday at a location he chose and he didn't show because Randy Steele said he didn't have to. 2. To write up a piece of paper and sign it saying that a car in ex's name is legal for me to drive, even though it isn't registered. The car is solely in ex's name, so I can't make it legal, only he can. Leaving me with a useless piece of paper and no way to get to the store or schools for our kids. 3. That I am to use credit cards that are solely in my name, to support our children (3 of them, two who are medically fragile and need round the clock care) and he will make the minimum payments on the credit cards, IF he has enough money after ex's bills are paid. Ex's bills are to be paid first though and if there is anything left after, then only the minimum payments on the credit cards will be met monthly. If I don't have enough credit, then I should put in for another credit card. (No alimony after 19 years of marriage and my being unable to work due to the children's medical needs for the last 13 1/2 years). 4. Ex will only see the children on Sundays. I am to make sure the children are available for him on Sundays in case he wants to see them. He only needs to tell me what times on Sunday he wants to see the children with an hours notice, since I know that Sundays will be the day he wants to see them, if he wants to see them. If I can't make Sunday work his lawyer will file paperwork against me for withholding the children and parental interference (He has seen them a total of 2 hours in October on one day and one hour in November last week, so far, with only a week left in the month). 5. That he is not to babysit the children for me to find a job or work, even though with my lack of work experience I can only anticipate making minimum wage, and the children need an LPN licensed caregiver or above, which will cost more than my earning potential. I will find out the reasoning behind this when we get to court from Randy Steele (although there is no court date or even a motion filed for a court date). Those are the only ones I can prove via text from my ex and the piece of paper he wrote out over the car that isn't legal to drive, but there are many more that have been said to me by my ex, I just cannot prove them. All while Randy Steele has not filed ANYTHING with the courts or made any contact with me. Might be a good idea for anyone looking for a lawyer to find a different one, because he isn't doing my ex ANY favors and all advice he has given him, is either negligent, downright criminal or both which will come back to bite ex. Shame on Randy Steele for encouraging an abusive man to put his children in a position to suffer.

My experience with Megan Nolan as a Guardian ad Litem was profoundly unfair and unprofessional…read more She refused to review or include critical evidence I provided, declined to conduct any meaningful investigation, and would not visit my home despite repeated requests. This evidence was significant enough that my own attorneys acknowledged it and attempted to correct the record, yet she still refused to include it in her report. I was also denied equal access. When I asked for additional time to speak with her, I was refused, while the opposing party was given considerably more hours. This unequal treatment created a strong appearance of bias and prejudgment. A Guardian ad Litem is ethically obligated to remain neutral, investigate all relevant facts, and act in the child's best interests. In my case, Ms. Nolan failed in these duties, issued a one-sided recommendation, and harmed the outcome of my case. I also personally overheard her office staff speaking disrespectfully about an elderly client and discussing matters related to that client's will in a way that felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I believe her conduct was unethical and below the professional standards expected of a Guardian ad Litem.
