Marc recently took some casual portraits of my Boyfriend and me. It was an hour long session and I was concerned that we would not have enough time to get good shots. This review is way overdue. I wanted a variety of photos for my online presence (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Github, etc.), and in my research for photographers, Marc's work on his website stood out the most to me. We did a one-hour shoot in his backyard studio, as well as in the alley nearby for some street photos. It took me a while to warm up, but Marc was very encouraging and did a spectacular job coaxing me out of my shell. By the end of the shoot, I couldn't wait to schedule another one! I don't post reviews, ever! Actually, this will be my very first review and it is a must! I'm a hobbyist photographer so I'm admittedly picky when it comes to photography. This session was a holiday christmas gift for my mother in law from us so it had to be right. Marc was one of the first to respond to my numerous inquiries. He was prompt in answering all my questions about time restrictions and rights to the digital images. I was concerned about the session time because our group of 13 included both a "don't know what mood he'll be in" 20 month old and 4 year old. His pricing is awesome and so very affordable! On the day of the shoot, he came early to scope out the park I had suggested and we spoke about what pictures I wanted to have him capture. Our session lasted an hour and Marc captured every pose with all 3 families and then some during this time period. I loved how he came prepared with a monkey attached to his lens so that I could point to my 20 month old and say "look at the monkey!" After the session, Marc let us know how long it would take for us to receive the email with the link to the images. He's delivered even quicker than what he quoted. I received the images today and have gone through them, all 239 images! I absolutely adore them! My family loves them as well. Now comes the hard part of deciding which ones to print! Review update, since this session I've had Marc take pictures for us two more times. Kids still don't want their pictures taken but still ends up looking amazing... I needed last minute photos of my three very energetic sons (2, 6, and 9) for a Christmas card. Marc was awesome in getting great pictures of my boys very quickly (think attention span of a flea). Somehow I missed the memo that one is supposed to schedule new born pics while pregnant to ensure you get the baby in their earliest days. Needless to say, when I got around to actually scheduling my photo session it was crunch time. No other photographer was willing or able to work with my "I need them yesterday" schedule - but Marc was! He understood the sense of urgency we had and made himself available to come out and shoot my baby boy at 4 weeks. His pricing is very fair, he works wonderfully with the baby and my favorite part is he is not in a hurry. He understands babies need to eat, get cranky, have maj diaper blow outs, etc. and is very relaxed - ensuring us new moms and dads can remain the same - relaxed - or somewhat close to it! He is just the sweetest guy and I really look forward to having him be our family photographer for birthdays, milestones, announcements and future new babies! If you're on the fence and/or think it's too late to have your new born's photos taken, my best advice is DO IT.
