Leo is hands down a five star barber. We recently followed him to his new shop in South Park and it was the right move. The space has great vibes, easy parking, and just feels cool the second you walk in. Leo's attention to detail is next level. He treats every cut like a project. Not just a quick appointment, but something we're building and refining over time. He listens, makes adjustments, and genuinely cares about the end result. I brought my dad with us and Hudson and Grandpa ended up playing chess while we were there. They even have a little chess club vibe going on. It feels more like a community spot than just a barbershop. We appreciate the consistency, the craftsmanship, and the atmosphere. If you want someone who takes pride in their work and delivers every time, Leo's your guy. Five stars all day. read more

I go to have Kevin give me a refresh on much cut every month! It's been hard for me to find a place i done mind returning to get my cut. They are a bit on the pricy side at $40 for men's cuts, so that's why i only go once a month. If it was cheaper, I'd do what i did in the military and get my cut twice a month. Even though i still don't like going so long between cuts, this is just where i am going. I do like that they offer you a complimentary drink while you wait. Def give it a try if you're on the look out for something new. read more

Probably the best barber shop I found in San Diego. The service here is great. Every barber is friendly and welcoming. My gf and I bring our son here. Kevin cuts his hair and it looks great each time. He takes his time and converses with my 7 year old. Kevin ask the style he wants done and never fails to exceed a perfect quality cut. Each time we are all offered a drink. The service is wonderful and we're so glad to have found this Barber Shop. read more

Blacktree Barber - Look good - Barbers Near Me - San Diego, California

First real barber experience of my life and I'm 49 years old. The barber, Bryan clearly takes alot of pride in his work. The shop was clean and had a nice vibe but at the end of the day I'm there for the cut and I was not disappointed. If you're looking for a solid haircut for a very fair price look no further, this is the spot. Keep up the good work! read more

This barber shop has an amazing feel to it. Everyone there was very welcoming and allowed my son and I to feel right at home. The shop has a cool old school vide that I really like. It reminds of when I got hair cuts as a kid. Bryan did an amazing job cutting my sons hair and he gave him a hot towel shave too. It really made my son feel like a million bucks. Thank you Bryan and Thank you Blacktree Barber Co. for such a one of a kind experience. We will definitely be back soon! read more

Highly recommend getting a cut here. Charlie (Carlos), the owner, is a true professional and knows how to treat every client that walks in the door. Walking in here you will always experience a warm welcome. The atmosphere is cool mix classic Americana with an urban touch. Highly recommend Nick. He has a well established background as a hair stylist and never disappoints. Thanks for always providing an excellent experience Blacktree! read more

I made an appointment with Brian for a haircut, he exceeded my expectations! He also had great conversation. I'm definitely coming back !

Not the worst haircut but not good. And it took an hour. Very polite and cool spot but yikes. $40 before tip and it's sub par at best.

First time getting a service from a barbershop. Bryan was very detailed and took his time on my face. I usually get a facial to get my face dermaplaned and all the dead skin off but I couldn't get in for a sooner date. Bryan was able to do a hot towel shave on me and it was very relaxing. Great atmosphere all the barbers are really sweet, welcoming and nice! Recommend this place for sure! read more

I needed a haircut before my trip for a wedding, and it was Sunday. Most places were either closed, close to closing, or I couldn't get the barber I wasnted. I have driven/walked by Inglorious for a while now. I always laugh when I read their sign..."If we can make you look good, you ugly"...or something like that. I walked up and Jac just happened to be sitting outside and I asked if he could cut my hair. Inside is pretty cool! Lots of stuff to look at while he was cutting. Jac and I had a great conversation while he reshaped my hair and I left looking cool again! This is a great place to get a haircut. And it's reasonably priced! Is it me or are haircuts for men getting expensive??? read more

This review has been in the making for over a month now. Reason being is I'm a reservist for the military so I got the haircut after a UTA weekend. Wanted to upload this after it went well the following month and wasn't out of regs with the bangs but it actually worked out well!!! Everyone at work loved it and I have received SOO many compliments I asked G to surprise me and he sure did!!! I have very thick hair and he knew how to work it. He is a very wonderful person and I promise you that he'll do a great job with anything you ask . Hit up G!!! He's the only barber in that shop that cuts women's hair. He's also booked in advance so call ASAP and reserve an appointment. read more

Drove 30 miles to get a cut here, only to find out they forgot to close the online booking and there wasn't a barber available to give me a cut. Had I known sooner I would have been able to book elsewhere. I couldn't find one other place open on a Sunday to pivot to after being turned away and was out of luck. What pissed me off also is that I had a missed call while driving. No voicemail so I presumed it was spam. Then I googled it after my experience at the shop and sure enough, MFer from the shop called me but didn't leave a message at all. What's the point of going halfway to the trouble and not leaving a message? Needless to say it was a lost morning for me and a complete waste of my time and now I need to book elsewhere this week and not have a cut for when I needed it. Learn how to use your scheduling system so you can be trusted. I won't make the mistake again, booking elsewhere moving forward. read more

Location, location, location! This smack dab in the middle of South Park so perfect location to start off your day. Parking is very limited, but a lot of streets to go up and down. Coffee shop next door, bars across the street, eateries at the end of the block, and even Target a few blocks down! The barbers and owner here are super friendly & respectful. Whatever vibe you prefer, they're there to provide. I've came in wanting to shoot the shit and they've had plenty to speak about. Other times I just wanted to chill and was offered a water, some Jame-O, or a beer; most definitely took the latter. Music ranges here, but always the right music. I spoke about everything except the cuts, well that's because I've never had to complain. My current go to barber here is Laurentino and he always cleans me up & doesn't waste time. Every time I've walked out, I've had at minimum 1 compliment for my haircut the same day. Compliments are steady afterwards as well. I'm not going to lie about the price it's $40. Paying for the aesthetics, location, and talent. For the places I've been getting cuts in San Diego that is the norm. I'm still coming back here and not complaining on price for a reason. Overall 5 stars due to quality, location, and the down-to-Earth vibes. Highly recommend if you need a new barber. read more

First off I'd like to give a BIG THANKS to JAC !!! My son and I were in the area and we happened to walk by this barbershop. I stopped and asked the gentleman in the front of the shop "Giacomo" who had just been taking a quick break" to look at my sons haircut that was just done 2 days ago. I showed him were the other shop had messed up his hair and asked if there was any possibility his hair could be fixed. He repaid with confidence "they could definitely fix it". So the gentleman then walked inside asked JAC if he could help us as he was finishing up his client. He replied definitely. Looked at my sons hair gave him a few options and began fixing his hair . I'm very thankful that he took the time to fix my sons haircut as it wasn't an easy fix . He pulled it off like a champ. Both my son and I loved it . We both will be coming here again . I definitely recommend this place to any who are in the area. Thanks to all the staff as they were all Awesome. read more

This place is great. It's 25 bucks for a haircut. I came on a Friday night right after work as a walk in. They were able to squeeze me in as they were about to close. I was in need of a five star hair cut experience, and I for sure got it. G made me feel welcome as a walk in even, and really made my entire time at the shop top shelf! I haven't found a shop like this since Long Beach. This is my new barber. These guys are great. The ambiance if the shop is very unique and old school. I have tried Inglorious on several occasions and have had mixed interactions. I have gotten cuts by almost every barber in the place and they do a pretty good job. The issue is the scheduling/wait times. I always schedule an appointment and have never been seen on time. Sometimes the wait can be up to 45 minutes past your scheduled appointment. I understand life happens and from time to time you can get backed up, but customers should not have to experience this every time they come to your establishment. Since I had to many negative experiences, I have since taken my business to other barbers in the area. read more

Took our 4-year-old here once I saw they were doing outdoor cuts to stay safe from COVID. He loved it, I felt comfortable with the precautions, and they gave him a great cut to boot. I don't do fancy haircuts unless I'm getting married or going out on my anniversary. I was due for a trim after 3 weeks in Europe (nothing makes you feel like an American slob like a trip to Europe) and a move across the country. We happened upon this place because my wife really digs that part of town. Charlie was sitting outside like a man older than his years, and the sun was at golden hour when we had a polite hello. We had a quick conversation about pricing, & I decided to take that once-every 3-year haircut. These men care about your hair, your comfort, your time, & your price. At first I was worried about how totally hip it appeared, but after a few minutes it felt like the old barbershops I remember from little-league baseball years, and the dudes were genuine and kind. Give 'em a try, and overtip. You'll be glad you did. read more

First time coming here because my go to barber moved here from Mr Browns....he was not available that day so Charlie (owner?) booked me with JP @ 2:30PM arrived 2:32 (parking is tough) waited a few minutes for someone to help me... finally I asked who JP was and some guy with a piercing on his cheek said "oh you are with me but I have an appt at 3PM so I can't help you...what a joke, don't waste your time coming here. read more

I'm so glad I gave this new barbershop in South Park a try. Blacktree has warm, inviting, and a damn serious barbers. Pricing is typical at $25 for any men's haircuts. Old School to New Styles they can do it all. They also offer mustache grooming services and hot towel shaves. The space is well designed and feels like a living room with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at home. I even had some beer while the cut before me was finishing up. Then I sat in the chair. After giving my Barber some ideas (yes I have been Wahl electric clipper cutting my hair for over a year) about the styles I was moving towards. I said, "I trust you to work your magic." Gaicomo proceeded to not only give me the most meticulously detailed cut, he also made the style that I did not think I had the length for work. The man is a magician and my new barber. Do yourself a favor and try Thee Inglorious Blacktree Barberia. Tell them I sent you. Dapper As Fvck in North Park, Brian Trout read more

I love the ambiance and decor. A few months ago I started taking my son to get haircuts here. Our barber is professional, friendly and provides great customer service. Super nice guys, and great vibe. I like having the place so close. Only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review was a communication problem... I said "I like to keep my hair a little long, don't give me a shave cut", which was interpreted to mean "shave the back of this dude's head". That's alright. It's mostly grown back. read more
