The golf course looks amazing but since I'm not a golfer, I'm going to address the pool, hotel, pool club dining area, and hotel restaurant. Pool is big, fun, and great for families. However, it and the restaurant attached close at 8pm. Hmmmmm. It does't get dark in Florida til after 9pm in the summer, so this seems off. Food and space at the eating area by the pool; fun, tasty, and staff are on top of it. (The staff are a bunch of young kids working for the summer and it was nice to be around their energy.) The restaurant and bar area in the hotel is ... "yikes". The lighting is harsh and too yellow. The decor and "feel" reminds me of an 80's, Ramada Inn reception area. I don't know what else to say except that it was so discomforting that we couldn't stay. Work out facility is top notch.

We've played 3 times but the last time will probably be the last time. All of our run ins with the members have been nasty. We are not your red neck golfers. We know golf etiquette and attire but they apparently want to remind us of all of the rules. They think they are elite and top notch but they are really just snooty, nasty people. We (twosome) were behind one foursome that was playing really slow. We patiently waited at every hole. Eventually, they let us play through without us asking but then were making rude comments to us. We felt very unwelcome and don't want to be surrounded by all the Karen's enforcing clubhouse rules.

Pro shop staff was very nice, and gave directions to get to the driving range before our tee time. The range has stacks of balls to hit, and it is all off of the grass. Take not of the area where you are hitting from on the range, as it is very similar to the fairways. The starter was very nice, and offered a few tips on several of the holes. The tee time spacing allows for plenty of room between groups, and we never felt rushed. The fairways were in great shape (late August), and the green looked like they had been aerated about three weeks ago. There were visible holes, and the greens were very sandy. It was a hot day, and were saw the beverage cart no less than three times on each 9 hole course (there are three nine hole courses to choose from). Overall, I felt this was very reasonably priced for a challenging but not extremely difficult course. I would definitely play Indian Bayou again.

My 81 year old father and his…read moreretired buddies live near the course but are now forced to play on a course that honors & recognizes men & women who fought for our freedom! 2nd- I was speaking with a church friend who's minor children play golf and he was told his kids could not join without an adult so they can get that initiation fee. A single mom with junior golfers is basically SCREWED! Sad times when you have to leave your county to go play in another county! Do better Upper Management! Get a PGA Certified person out there who can give lessons. I'll review again in the Fall and address any changes but for now they can take this club and shove it!
