Absolutely great! I have used Blacks Tree Service for years now and have always been completely happy with the work and the way they treat the customer. Blacks has done a lot of work for me, cut down and removed multiple trees, removed stumps and chipped branches. He was reasonably priced, friendly, professional, quick to respond, quick to complete the jobs, and cleaned up everything before leaving. I have called other tree services in the past, one said they charge a minimum of $1800 to come to my home (just needed branches chipped at the time), another didn't return my call at all, another was just rude and acted like they did not want to do the work. Blacks is fast, efficient, responsive and very fairly priced. After the recent storm I tried to find a local tree service to clean up and remove two very large trees that were endangering a neighbors property. Many didn't call me back... one came and didn't follow through and another was grumpy & rude when asked for a quote. Blacks quote was extremely fair and the work has been completed today. Years ago when I first moved into my over 100 year old house, I was referred to Black's Tree Service. He removed an old, dead tree on the front lawn, and trimmed other trees on the property. He also removed 25 feet of overgrown hedges so we could put up a fence. Recently, I had a giant, old tree, probably hundreds of years old and it was very close to our house. I loved the tree, but it could have fallen on the house. It wasn't blooming anymore. So I called Blacks Tree service, I found him again on the computer. He came out to our house and said yes it is dying. We set a date for Jim to come and take the tree down. He arrived with a couple of guys and they took the tree down branch by branch until it was a stub. They were very professional and courteous. They took the trunk of the tree away on a big, flat bed truck. They ground up the small branches with a chipper, and cleaned up after themselves. And he cut table tops from the trunk of the tree (so it was circular) for me to use as a table. I loved that because I still had a part of the tree. read more

We just had Blacks Tree Service remove four large oaks and two large pines from our property, for a very competitive price. Jim Black and his team clearly have a lot of experience and it was impressive to see them take down the trees branch by branch, piece by piece, like clockwork. Five of the trees were especially tough because they were very close to our neighbor's property, but Jim and his team were very careful not to damage anything in our neighbor's side. They were very professional and clearly explained everything they were going to do. They cleaned up the debris and ground the stumps very nicely and we can now enjoy a neat, open backyard.
