I often use a course in Balham which is more easily accessible, but the quality of this course means i will probably be back again. Very nice location out from the main towns etc with ample car parking available around the front and back. Has a pro shop to buy golfing items as well as a cafe and bar. Nice driving range with distance markers, nets and trees. Attracts a wide audience from youngsters to adults all with varying knowledge and experience of the game. Friendly staff try to accommodate any problems you may have and have been very helpful when the ball dispensing machine for the driving range wasn't working.

Well, ok, you're hitting a ball at a screen so not walking too far, but at least you're standing up and moving your arms... However, it's not easy. I've not played golf much and this activity requires some level of technique above 'aim and hit'. For a start, you have real clubs so you have to know what the benefit of each number is. Secondly, if you're not very good like me, then your ball will either go into a lake, a sandpit or nothing at all and you will get more shots. This means the embarrassment lasts longer as you take more and more shots to achieve the same distance that your better playing friend hit in one. I also liked the central location as it's inside High Street Kensington Tube station. There's a full bar inside so you can drink while you play, hoping it might relax you into being a better player. Low marks come from the fact that it's more expensive than bowling (£50 per simulator per hour at weekends). For that price, I'd rather bowl as you can get away with throwing hard and a bit of luck, whereas Urban Golf is more technical.

A flat park, with lush green fields, perfect for ball games, flying model airplanes, picnics in summer etc There is a large lake with many ducks who just love to be fed your scraps of bread! Great for the kids There are several intersecting paths for leisurely afternoon strolls, a football club, tennis club, and even a clubhouse cafe for a lazy afternoon of tea and cake. The thing I like about this park is that it isn't really big enough to get lost in, and you can see where you are (for bearings) at all times, because it's flat, unlike Wimbledon Common. Just make sure you don't go off track and end up on the adjoining golf course! There is no way out once you find yourself in and the golf club members don't take too kindly to 'Sunday walkers' getting in!

The membership prices are very reasonable and there is also a driving range which is also good. There are various functions that take place at the club such as awards ceremonies and BBQ's in the summer. There is a fantastic café called the 3 T's which has hot and cold food (of very high quality) and wonderful drinks. The golf course itself is also good for beginners and intermediates and is very fun 9/18 holes.
