I was very dedicated and studied EVERY day for a total of 125+ hours over the course of a few months. I practiced problems from the Official Guide. I completed the Verbal and Quant GMAT study guides front to back...twice. Then, I took the test. I scored nowhere near where I needed to be. I was completely devastated. I only had 1.5 months to get my quant score up and I was a severely sleep deprived new mom. Did I mention I was only interested in applying to one MBA program? No pressure, right? This is a review for LIVE online course including my reviews for all instructors and Blue Print…read more(BP) LSAT staffs. Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. I am not sure if he's not prepared or what, the whole video, he seemed like really don't know what happened. 90% of time he said: hmmm.. but.. yea..." and he said "I don't what I am talking about lol " I had to use 1.5 x SPEED to listen his whole video. In the video he seemed like he's just reading the scripts? not really well prepared for this office hours. If I watch this video before signing up the course, I would not choose him as my instructor because I really don't want to spend money on instructors who are not prepared for the course. OMG, I wrote too much.. I need to take a break. The class is almost over, but I will still do their monthly subscription, just for their office hours. His grade dropped badly and he really struggled to get it back up. I was extremely concerned. Ever since my son has been tutoring with Dr. Yasi, his grade has gone up 2 grades in just a couple of months. She explains it so that my son understands the math (something his teacher couldn't do) Now, he doesn't fear his test and exams like before. I am utterly indebted to Chris Peckover and could not be more appreciative of his help. He is simply a fantastic instructor. He will push you with your homework, target your weak areas, answer any questions that you have and help in any way possible. Chris is a GMAT expert and will hold you to the same standards. If you need to improve your GMAT score and you're in the Los Angeles area, it would be massively helpful to work with Chris. It took a ton of work on both Chris' and my end, but we were able to bring my score up to a 710. This would absolutely NOT have been possible without Chris' help. I am so thankful that Manhattan Prep paired me up with him. I was recently at an MBA admissions event (at a top school) and the admissions panel announced to the entire audience, which consisted of roughly 300 hopeful students, that if you need help on the GMAT, seek Chris Peckover from Manhattan Prep (I was very excited when I heard his name). Yes, he really is that good. I am sure that students in his classes would agree with everything I have mentioned above, but I feel that I am especially qualified to review Chris because I hired him as a private tutor through Manhattan Prep. This was certainly expensive (on an hourly basis), but for me the cost of not having that extra help and custom curriculum would have been too great. My score increase would simply not have been possible without Chris. He designed a study program for me that was effective and efficient. Although it is expensive, Chris is genuinely a great person and does not want you to overspend. He was consistently giving me advice that limited the number of tutoring hours I needed and from the beginning, he made it clear that I needed to work as hard as possible outside of the tutoring hours so that I would need less of them. The in-person class was super helpful and something I recommend if you can afford it. If you're deciding between the online class and the in-person class, some of that should honestly be based on how well you can self-regulate. However, the instructor makes a huge difference as well. The instructor I had, Chris Peckover, was fantastic and made it worth the effort to go to class and of course the extra cost. He made the material a lot more accessible by giving alternative methods to approaching problems and had no issue explaining things again or trying it from different approaches. I definitely appreciated that he was really positive and pushed us to work hard as well. You could tell that he cares a lot about teaching and is invested in your success as well. It comes across in the class and is a helpful motivator. Hard to imagine a better GMAT instructor.

TERRIBLE COMPANY. My experience with this company is as a parent in the PVPUSD Gate program. This…read morecompany was selected to lead some 'executive training' sessions for Gate students in the district. A week or so after signing up with my school district, I received an email from a random person at Air Tutors without telling me anything about why I'm receiving an email and just stating what week sessions will begin. The email came from a Hunter Shelburne with a profile picture that looks more like it belongs on Facebook rather than a professional company. After inquiring what the email is about, only then did he explain that this was for my son. Even then, he didn't explain it was a special leadership session through the PVPUSD Gate program. I had to put two and two together. Anyhow, he explained more details about session times and assignments would be forthcoming. Nothing ever came. On 3/22 at 3:55pm I get an email from Tynisha Lewis saying "your" session is about to start. I'm a CFO, I don't need tutoring. At least get the emails right and have some details in the email. Something like, attendee's name, session name, program affiliation, would all be helpful. Also, how is it, we never received session dates and times until 5 minutes before the session??? Of course, I'm in meetings and don't see the email. I get a text from an unknown number at 4:30pm for a tutoring session. Again, no important details. When I realized what this was about, I asked when my son's sessions are and the texter said right now. Here I am 20 minutes later at 4:50pm and I still don't know if this is a one time session, when other sessions are, etc. This company did a terrible job in communicating as to detract from an otherwise great Gate experience with PVPUSD so far. If you are a parent or a school district, think long and hard about what this company's operations will do to the image of your district. It's difficult enough for parents to juggle all of their kids' activities, we don't need stuff thrown in minutes before they're taking place to add to the stress. Junk company.

Calculus is extremely difficult for me, but somehow Amy managed to make it not only easy but enjoyable. She was so sweet and patient, and it was so evident how much she truly cared for me to learn the material. I ended up with an A in calculus this semester, and I 100% attribute that to Amy and Air Tutors. I can't thank them enough for their help and highly highly recommend them.
