Once inside the theater, went straight to the self-check out to buy 2 tickets ($29). The process was fast and easy. Then, gave the tickets to a lady who told us where to go for our movie. Before heading to the movie, we stopped to buy a couple of glasses of wine ($21). We also stopped to get popcorn but decided not to get any because they're cooked with butter which we don't consume. The movie room was super clean and the recliner chairs were very comfy. The big screen and sound were perfect. I wish the temperature was a little cooler. Overall, this is a great movie theater. I felt safe and the lobby was clean. Staff was not friendly but was not mean either so God bless them for wanting to work.

It has been around since 1942 and has played host to musical legends such as B.B. King, Nat King Cole and Dorothy Moore. It now operates as a Not-For-Profit theatre and is available for rent. The money gained from rentals is used to keep the theater going. It closed in 1983 and reopend in 1997 after a community restoration effort. The outside of the theater has a nostalgic look and you will see some of sidewalk plaques with the images of legends that performed there. I love the old school marquee that they have out front too. There is a decent amount of free street parking available within walking distance of the theater. The theater has recently hosted music concert, plays, talks, comedy shows and independent films. It is a very nice theater, especially considering its age. But the interior is not that old having been completely renovated in 1997. The theater can seat 524 people, including balcony seating. I will admit that I find the are that the theater is located in to be a bit sketchy, and others have questioned the security of the area. So, I will just say be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye out. Anyway, it is a wonderful place not only to host an event, but watch one as well. I highly recommend catching a show here. If I am in Jackson again, I hope to catch a comedy show there.

The space itself is nice. It's old, and it isn't incredibly fancy, but it's nice! The space can be divided up into several smaller arenas or opened up to use it in its entirety, which is HUGE by the way. The Trademart is air-conditioned, which is a must, and it stays quite cool even despite large crowds. I've used the Trademart several times before for work-related events, and the management is very willing to help and easy to work with. They've got in-house food vendors, where they sell typical "fair" foods like hot dogs, corndogs, nachos, etc. You won't find much by way of healthy food but sometimes I'm okay with that. They have a bunch of bathrooms that are all large, spacious and clean. I appreciate that. Overall, if you see an event you're interested in being hosted at the Trademart, give it a go! It's a neat space and you'll surely have a fun day.
