I can't recommend Penn Roofing, the folks in the office are really pleasant, but the workmanship of…read morethe crew at my house left much to be desired. First, they didn't speak to me or announce their intentions when they first arrived. They just blocked me in my driveway and started working. They tried to leave me blocked in my driveway over night and I had to call in to get things moved after they'd taken off without telling me. They didn't cover anything in the space beneath the roof and lots of debris fell in, trashing and almost causing significant damage to everything underneath. The yard they left a mess and despite saying they would clean it up, never did. Including sharp metal pieces and nails, not only did I get a flat tire from a fresh roofing nail after they were done, but I picked up by hand well in excess of 100 brand new roofing nails. I had to go buy my own magnet to have any sense of confidence that I could use my driveway again. The crew tried to cut corners skipping things that were agreed to, and the things they did do, they did poorly. I had to call them back for almost everything they touched because it was worse than when they started (yes, I had new leaks in my new roof in places that didn't have issues before they started). They also left things clearly in poor condition, gaps between wood structures they'd "repaired", warped boards with no support, the roof had obvious depressions and dents where repairs and new shingles were laid. Different people would show up for other parts of the job at random times without warning and some wouldn't even know what they were doing there. I really shouldn't have to explain what roofing and repair work needs to be done, that should've been handled internally at the company. When I spoke with the crew on the phone they were not receptive to my issues and were aggressive and disrespectful. I really liked the folks in the office and wanted to support a local business but be wary. Might of just been the crew I got, but it was a remarkably unpleasant experience.

John, one of the foreman who works for Jon, was ready to provide us an extremely reasonable quote and lower than the competitors. He let us know approximately when they would start and how long it would take. They called the day before to keep us updated. They started early and stayed until it was completed. They did an amazing job!! We had just had some landscaping done in our front yard which surrounded an old oak that had lost a huge limb. We needed the tree taken down as it was hollow. Tre, (who was the foreman for our job) and his crew did an amazing job as well as we're meticulous about the new landscaped area. We were just in awe of how Tre's team could drop huge limbs from a tree without injury to the surrounding lawn. Our neighbors even commented on how clean the lawn looked! They took 6 pine trees down for us and ground them down to a point that unless you knew there were trees there, you would not know anything was removed. Also, we had a very small magnolia tree next to one of the pines and they expertly were able to keep it. We also had a beach gum tree nestled next to a cedar. Hoping we could keep the cedar and cut and grind out the beach gum, Jon (the owner) was able to do that And also grind the stump nicely down. We will definitely come back to this company for our future tree service needs!

IF YOU LIKE BEING GHOSTED THEN CALL THIS COMPANY! IF YOU…read moreEXPECT TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM, YOU WON'T! In January 2022 Eric the owner of this company came out and did an estimate for my landscaping. I have a medium size backyard (3600 sq ft) and was having general yard cleaning, a sprinkler system and sod installed. I was told that they could begin in late February or the first week in March and finish before Masters. They finished at the end of May. IT TOOK THEM FOUR MONTHS TO DO 7 DAYS OF WORK! The owner Eric and I had already agreed to additional landscaping and sod in the front yard. That was supposed to be done in June, then July, then by the end of the summer. In October I was told by Eric that it would be best if I waited for the sod until March of 2023. They could put the sod down in the fall (of 2022) but it might not make it and that would be on me. AFTER WAITING FIVE MONTHS I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD WAIT AN ADDITIONAL SIX MONTHS! HORRIBLE COMMUNICATIONS! I would email, text or call and leave messages. Even after Eric and I had a conversation specifically about this issue, multiple times HE WOULDN'T RESPOND FOR WEEKS OR EVEN A MONTH OR MORE! All along I was being told that the delays were due to lack of employees or materials. I was trying to be flexible with the timeline but was just being taken advantage of. The final straw was when the owner Eric told me that he was having problems keeping up with a new residential housing development that he recently got the contract for. So, HE GOT A NEW JOB AND LEFT ME HANGING, even thought we had been discussing this since January. Finally, this February (2023) I noticed that there were several large patches of dirt where the sod had been laid. I called Eric to see if he would replace the sod. I explained that I was only talking about the dirt areas where the sod had clearly died. He said that he would definitely call me back with a time that he would stop by to look at it. It has been 2 weeks and no contact what so ever. No surprise there. I regret the day I even heard of this company. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
