I really suggest not getting too dolled up. I refused to go to the bathroom lol. The line took about 30-40min when we go there are 2am. Plan accordingly. Cover is a steep 12 euro.

Scarabee was always totally laid-back and cool and dark and had such a cool vibe. I have so many memories from being there and we met so many people there. Every year we would go back to Giessen and I was always worried that scarabee wouldn't be the same -that perhaps it had closed or changed but every single year it was unchanged and fantastic.
