They don't return phone calls. I have tried multiple times which is disappointing since they were recommended by a friend

BEWARE: THEIR COVID TEST REIMBURSEMENT APPROACH IS CLEARLY DESIGNED NEVER TO REIMBURSE YOU…read more Overall, BCBSAZ (up in Prescott) has been okay. I've had my issues with them that have caused me to tear my hair out before, but more often than not, they have ranged from okay to very good. But, the reason for my 2* review is their pitiful efforts to save money by making reimbursement for COVID as difficult as possible. Rather than championing the honest member's claims, they are protecting themselves from dishonest people trying to fraud them. I wish they had found some middle ground. I bet that they gathered teams of experts to figure out just how to pay as few reimbursement claims as possible. And, know this: these were not rank-and-file experts ... but the best! No, you don't just submit receipts. No, you don't just get to make a claim at the CVS or Walgreens etc. as you would at a doctor's office or when receiving a covid booster. No, you don't just photograph the UPC symbols of the tests and email it in. NO... NO... NO. Rather, you have to cut out the UPC symbols from each box... paste them to a piece of paper and attach the original register receipt and send it in the mail to them and fill out one of their hard-to-find forms. Should the letter not arrive (as is my case)... basically, you are screwed, and they tell you that you should have certified the letter... or should have hand-delivered it (they didn't actually say that). The point is... they have created a level of calisthenics sufficient to make sure that only some modest fraction of submissions can slip through their defenses such that they actually have to reimburse. Ahhhh... if only we lived in a country where healthcare providers cared about health... or care. Will I buy more tests the next time I have covid? Likely not. Will I know for sure if I have covid? likely not. Will I go about my life if I really have no other choice (can't just sit around for a few weeks? maybe...likely so. Will I spread covid to others? perhaps. I'll try not to. Will BCBSAZ make more money from sicker people? likely yes. That is, after all, what appears to be their business model. Ugh. I am pissed. Time to read the international news and remind myself that I really have nothing to complain about. To conclude: I wish I could have written them a great review. I wish they would not catalyze these antagonistic feelings I am now feeling. If they pull a rabbit out of their hat and reimburse me... I'll either erase this review or update it. Otherwise, if you see this as is... you know they screwed me... twice. pete

Rude as can be they all talk over you the whole time then lie to you about the process. save your self the time and go with someone else.
