I found and had my elderly parents hire Lawrence Wellmon to basically install a "floor-over" in…read moretheir shower. The original job wasn't done correctly (by someone else) and a lot of water stayed on the shower floor which was stinky, moldy and extremely slippery. So this was an emergency job. I had been told by other tile contractors that the shower pan needs to be busted back out and a new one installed but I would be dealing with a different colored tile a foot up 3 sides of the walls, not to mention that the cost was going to be almost 5x as much. Lawrence assured us that a floor-over would work and he would build it up so that water would flow straight to the drain. He did chip out the drain area so that a new one could be installed. Overall, he did a great job. I'm waiting on a couple of things to happen so that I can have him come back for other things. I've seen his work on my friend's place that was a complete remodel and we were impressed. He simply does a good job. See before and after pics. (We tried our best to get similar tile but most importantly non-slip tile)
