It was Mother's Day and the one thing my mama wanted to do was browse through her favorite store. You can enter from the parking lot facing Maple Ave. or you can venture through the mall to the internal entrance... whichever floats your boat. The space is roughly the same size as the older location and it has everything any true maxxinista wants when visiting the store. It's also pretty clean and the staff was nice and friendly in every department. I especially loved the new carts. I absolutely hate walking through stores like this with a crappy cart. During this trip I found a beautiful pot in the home and garden section as well as a lovely tie die summer dress. I'll need to hem the dress but I couldn't pass it up for twenty bucks. Both items were reasonably priced, winning! This TJ Maxx has a great selection of designer handbags, perfume and hair and body products, shoes, clothing (women, men, and children), luggage, kitchenware, stuff for your bathroom, etc. I would certainly recommend you visit this store. I know I'll be back along with just about every member of my family. Do I miss the old location, yes. Will I get over it? Definitely!

But, respectfully, they are risking serious liability issues with 1/2 price items in a basement that is unbearable with (black?) mold stench. I literally could not breath, it was so toxic. There is no humidifier and the mold is just clinging to everuthing. I'm now in my car with "tight" lungs and persistent dry hacking. A person with asthma would have been in serious trouble. You can't smell it upstairs, but one wonders if mold spores are circulating in the air. You expect dust and and a bit of mustiness in antique stores. This was not that. It really ought to be reported for the sake of public safety. Items in the basement would be dangerous to own, in my opinion, if they are of fabric, textile, wood, or paper (there are rows and rows of books). It's a wonderful shop, but I'd emplore the owners to gut and clean that basement, treat for mold, and add humidifiers or close that whole area downstairs to the public.

These days Gemini's is running out of the space. They have a huge collection of minerals and healing stones and crystals. I absolutely loved their colorful glass collection, books on tarot, beautiful jewelry, selection of teas, and candles. It's a giant space and there's more tucked around every corner. The second floor even houses leftover antiques. It's a fabulous place to thrift. I ended up leaving with a gorgeous piece of aurora quartz, a hematite ring, a large selenite wand, and a nice size junk of tumbled jasper. All for about twenty bucks. The prices were great and I'm super pleased with my purchase. The staff was also so friendly and helpful. The entire place smelled like sage, I loved every bit of it and I'll be back!
