History
Established in 2009.
When the business came up for sale as the result of the former owner wanting to focus on her business in Statesville instead of Mooresville, BK Professional Counseling Center became a reality and has been growing since. I decided from the beginning that I wanted to plant the seeds of recovery and give our clients every single option I could in order for those who came to us who needed recovery, to have the opportunity to find recovery. I have dedicated my life to helping others and "paying it forward." I also provide so many services that are not normally provided by Outpatient Substance Abuse/DWI Services including individualized treatment, mental health referrals, Mental Health Licensed Counselor on-site. Assistance in getting enrolled in GED Programs, College, Job Search, Financial Aid Application Assistance, etc.I challenge our clients to practice the concept of "paying it forward" everyday and to work to reach their optimal potential.
Meet the Business Owner: Rhonda L.
I was born in Gastonia, NC and raised in almost every city in North Carolina. As a youth, I moved around alot as those were the textile years and my father was an excellent hand at setting up new plants. I finally stayed in Dallas, NC after the beginning of the 7th grade and have been in this area since then. I moved to Mooresville, NC to follow a dream of getting back into the business of helping others after a five year stint away from the MH/SA field as I was working on my own recovery after losing everything near and dear to me to the disease of addiction. After around three years of recovery, the opportunity came to come to Mooresville to run this facility and build the clientele. With the help and grace of a loving God, this has come to pass and I promised God when I got better, I would try to the best of my ability to serve him through serving others. Although it has been a hard road back up, every step has been a teaching tool and I am grateful for the opportunity to recover.
