Had painkiller prescription filled here for my boyfriend following orthopedic surgery (ACL) at nearby Marcus Daly Hospital.
We had less than 4 hours to fill the prescription before boyfriend's last dose wore off. Meanwhile, I felt obligated to stay close to home and tend to his needs.
Enter Bitterroot Drug.
BD first failed when they couldn't locate workman's comp information attached to boyfriend's file, until he threatened to call the owner. At which point, the insurance information magically appeared.
I was waited on by a teenage girl in the pharmacy. She asked for my ID and asked me to fill out some paperwork at the cluttered front desk. I also had to call my boyfriend for some personal information to complete the paperwork. I had to sign for script electronically on a device that was difficult to use, and teen girl began helping next person in line forcing me to vacate the front desk before I could put my things away-- at which point I might have noticed my ID was missing)
It was not until I two days later that I realized my license was not in my wallet. I had not left the house on account of nursing boyfriend.
Called BD. Told CSR that I did not have my license, that BD was last place it was used, and there was no possible other place it could be. Gave my phone number, and was never called back.
Called again a few days later. Spoke with manager, Pete.
I reasoned that the license could not be anywhere else- and it seemed ironic that my license should go missing into the same abyss as boyfriend's insurance information.
Pete said it was a "stretch" that a lost ID and lost workman's comp paperwork could in anyway be connected, by reason that workman's comp is "extremely complicated." Security footage could have been utilized to determine responsibility either way, but instead, according to Pete, employees searched the store thoroughly.
At no point did Pete apologize for our negative experience at the store, or thank us for feedback and promise to try to make improvements. He started yelling at and over me, at which point I hung up. read more
