Years ago, one of my favorite songs was entitled, A God of a Second Chance. With that in mind, I gave the tour a second chance and it was much better. This tour was in North Park; Mark was the tour guide. I enjoyed the food much better on this tour. Mark greeted my party upon arrival. Explained how Splash was set up to purchase drinks. I enjoyed the concept of sampling multiple wines for one basic fee! However, and I think this is my main issue with this company, the advertisement says to join us for a bite and a sip. Therefore, I am under the impression, I'm getting drinking with the tour. I got free drinks alright; water! Lol! We were told that we were making eight stops. We only did six. We went to two place that specialized in a specific food and beverage, but was served some random out of the sky thing. Don't get me wrong, what I was served was really good ( pork belly slider at Red Wings and Aztec soup at the coffee shop), but I was expecting wings and coffee...maybe it's just me??? I think these tours could be much better if the company developed a tighter agreement with the restaurant regarding the menu selection. However, I really did have a nice time and enjoyed the group and tour guide.

We had so much fun with our tour guide, Eric! He is a wealth of fun facts about San Diego and the food we ate at each stop was amazing. It's a lot to eat, though. Come hungry! The walk from Stop #4 to Stops #5 and #6 is 1.3 miles, which we enjoyed, but people should be aware you really do walk on this tour!

Did the Bite San Diego Encinitas tour today, 3/22/14. Mimi was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job of guiding us around starting at the Potato Shack, up to the Meditation Gardens, around the Lumberyard shopping center where we sampled chocolates, gelato and spices and quiche brownies and lemon bars, then over to see the "boat houses" then on to the Sports Bar for pizza and chicken wings! What a day, good food, great people, and a good walk. Would do this one again.

First time going on a food tour and boy was I surprised! There was a lot more eating than expected. I wasn't expecting appetizer amounts at each place, just a bite. But it sure was delicious! We stopped at 5 places total and for being someone who is very picky about her food I was certainly not expecting to like most things. However I did! It was great! Addy our tour guide was amazing. Although she had just moved to the area a few months ago she was so knowledgable! I would definitely go on another. Maybe I will even hit them all up with friends and family when they come to visit. Great job all!!

Best pizza in San Diego!

Hands down the best food tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. All of the restaurant stops were fantastic. Can't wait to try another tour! I love that we get a history lesson along with eating delisheous food. http://www.bitesandiego.com/

I did not even know the Liberty Station area existed. John did a great job of showing us around. We really enjoyed it and want to go back.

I Had checked prices on line & saw tickets were $49 for 1-day passes. Looked great! However when we arrived in person at the ticket booth on April 9th & wanted to purchase 4 tickets, it was $85 per ticket for 1-day passes! $340 for 4 people I thought I had misread the on-line price. But we hadn't. Prices are NOT consistent. Most dates are $45. Some days were $53. For whatever reason 4/9 was $85. It made zero sense & I felt scammed! It would have been cheaper to drive ourselves & pay for parking & skip sites we had no little interest in. Or, get on the actual red San Diego Trolley & explore that way. Our driving "J" seemed nice, but commentary was a mix of really cheesy jokes & facts. When we got off & re-boarded again hours later, we were a bit bummed to have the same driver again. He seemed a bit..frazzled cause we were running a little late, traffic was building up around 4pm & some kids on the trolley were loud, which required him to talk over them. He frequently stopped & asked us all to lower our voices, even though it was 2 parents 3 unruly kids doing ALL the yapping disrupting the tour. Listening to them made me regret even more we paid $320 for this experience. IF you do this activity check/get tickets on-line so you can actually see the prices that specific day & avoid paying double & feeling ripped off. The overall experience wasnt work $320 & I'll never take visiting guest in this tour again

It is not a TOUR either? No one's takes you on a TOUR, no one follows you in this "tour". 2nd- There is a satchel bag to carry around with a clipboard and papers on it with addresses to buildings to walk to, the texts I will upload says" They had 4 satchels ready (4 people in group) YET Leila only gave the group 1 to I Guess share which made it impossible to work as a team to solve anything, as well as you MUST have your cell phone to put answers in to get the next Clue" which just told you what building is next! Dumb and there is nothing collected at each stop as a scavenger hunt should have! 3rd- Leila sent rude and ignorant texts to her boss- and me showing how she was referring to my family and never apologized- which is again unprofessional and disrespectful, and made resist comments like "those people" and are 90% Criminal in her opinion!! I responded to her uneducated opinion, and her boss should have as well. 4- The Pub they promote was horrible and had not even brought our drinks after 30 min, the security guard was a dick and lied about us " Stiffing" the pub when the waiter told us we were good canceling our order since we didn't eat anything or drink anything to need to pay for!!! Leila decided to then send that unfactual info to her boss text attached, and made her rude comments. 5- This is a nightmare and if our group had been given the proper tools (1 satchel for each player to follow & participate with, maybe would not have been impossible to navigate. Our family have done several escape rooms, ghost tours, and Love it- This should have been refunded for the way they handled us and for not giving us proper information or the props/satchels to have a good experience. Also disclose it's walking like they do in the other tour.

What made it more frustrating was that it made me feel like it was my fault for not paying a deposit, even though I was never asked to provide one. Unfortunately, there weren't any real solutions offered at the time, and my friends had work schedules, so we couldn't simply reschedule. It was a very disappointing experience. I hope to return in the future and have the experience I originally planned, but I do hope there is clearer communication moving forward so others don't experience the same issue.

We stayed here a bit long for all this food but they accommodate me having a pine nut allergy which was very nice. Then onward to Landini's (the upstairs restaurant) where we had meatballs and pancetta with mozzarella with a little red wine ... again incredible!!
