    Orticella

If you are absolutely hungry while traveling through Milano Centrale, Bistrot is a large area with lots is space to sit and eat. My complaint is that the counter area is always crowded and it can be messy trying to navigate ordering, payment, and pickup. There are lots of panini to choose from, but only two veggie options. The orticella is a good choice if you like grilled veggies and sundried tomatoes. If you need to use the bathroom, the WC is on the second floor. There is a staircase that gets you there. Good tip to remember because who wants to use the toilet on the train!!

Had some time to kill between our flight and train to venice so stopped by the food stalls in the Milan Central Station to grab some quick bites and espresso. All exceeded my expectations - especially from what I expected from a train station.

Fresh pasta at a train station!

If you are stuck waiting in the train station, come and wait here instead. Order something nice from the cafe and get a seat in the back for a comfortable place to wait. The price of food is a little expensive, but it is worth it to be out of the crowds and general chaos. Also, you get access to their nice clean washroom without paying extra for it! I had their freshly made pasta and it was a lovely lunch meal. Can't beat freshly made pasta in Italy! Would highly recommend.

Wow! Just wow! I've never been in any tri rail in the world where they have a little bistrot with such amazing variety of food and flavors! From the moment you walk in, this place smells delicious and you start dreaming of food and eating right away. It has liquor, beer, wine, fresh made food and much more! The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because certain prices on the food are a little way off. It was cheaper to buy a plate of pasta than a sandwich, to me that was a little silly but it's ok, pasta was AMAZING! My husband purchased the Pasta alla Zucca e gorgonzola and it was definitely deliciously creamy and to die for! My pasta al sugo di pomodoro was delicious and only €5 euro. That was a very decent price for a large portion that leaves you very satisfied especially for a quick lunch. The pasta is fatta in casa, freshly made there by hand daily. You will find a lot of locals eating here for a quick bite or while they wait for their train. Fresh ingredients, fresh food. Definitely worth it!

If you ever need a snack or even a meal while waiting for your train in Milano Centrale, go to Bistrot Milano Centrale! The Bistrot has a multitude of packaged and prepared food, all ready to be eaten on-the-go or on the tables. Just want a shot of coffee? No problem! How about a dessert break? You got it! You want a pizza meal? Certo! You will definitely find something here to fill your cravings no matter what! Everyone here is super friendly too, and the food is solid. The only downside is that the items here are relatively pricey (about €5 per slice or sandwich on average), but hey that's the train station premium. Otherwise, Bistrot Milano Centrale is truly a great food stop in Milano's main train station!

What a great find... ended up in this place after a disaster experience in Burguer King. The Bistrot has a very god and friendly service which is also fast... Big plus when catching your train. The menu is great with lot of options and the food is fresh... they also have fresh juices and suggest the red orange juice :) Lot of options... pasta, muffins, fruits, paninis, fresh fruit juice, etc. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars... little bit pricey. Don't forget the free wifi.

One of the best places in Milano Centrale, hands down! It looks great, it has free wifi, outstanding food, lots of seats and it is an awesome spot to kill some time in between trips. They have lots of food and everything is fresh! It's such an amazing thing to see people making fresh food and offering it right after to their customers. Keep up the good work! There are also some tables with some tablets that people can use to freely surf the Internet. Cool idea. Ok prices are not the best, that's true, but I guess that the quality of the fresh good and the modern looking location with free wifi make up for it. Love this place and I regularly go back there every time I end up being in Milano.

Close to my Airbnb. Nice aesthetic. Their cappuccino and croissant is a nice and easy breakfast. Then we went upstairs and I've had their rustico sandwiches and more croissants. Easy ordering set up, helpful employees.

I quite enjoy the Bistrot when I'm catching a train in Milan and have a couple of minutes to spare for a sit-down meal. And free Wi-if!! While the entrance is narrow, the Bistrot is a sprawling area with different food stations, where you can pick and choose. The seating area is roomy and comfortable. Among the selections, "pizza al taglio", sandwiches, salads, pasta, fried goodies (and good they are indeed) cold cuts and a vast array of alcoholic beverages, including tap beer. Also, more dessert option than it is possible to try. Well, almost. Interesting twist for a venue touting the best of the Italian gourmet scene: they don't have an espresso machine, the coffee is just "moka ". Not to mistake with "mocha" (espresso + milk + cocoa), the moka is a different way to brew coffee, usually the preferred option at home in Italy. Still flavorful, it comes out a bit more "lungo" (long) and less foamy than the classic espresso consumed by the counter. Surprisingly enough, the resulting cappuccino was rich and enjoyable (although frowned upon by Italians when consumed after breakfast). The Bistrot also sells packaged goods and regional products, therefore a good option for a gift or a moment of self-indulgence - the chocolate and cookie selection does not disappoint. I highly recommend the caprese (cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella) with ham for a quick and healthy pit stop. The "nodini" option is not as good, always ask for the buffalo mozzarella when available. Enjoy

I have been here twice while waiting for my train at Milano Centrale train station. Why pay 1 euro to use the public bathroom in the train station? I came here to get a caffe latte and got the passcode to use the clean bathroom upstair. They also have a nice selection of cold cut as snack on the train.

Decent food in a train station! Something that was unheard of before. This place is a gourmet food court with a small store infront. Pizza, pasta, coffee, sandwich, and others.. Pretty good. I had Bollito Misto, 4 kind of different meats, was good. And a plate of greens Verdure Spadellate, I liked it. A bottle of mineral water and Caffe Napolatano. Everything sets me back 15 euro. Best place to eat inside Milano Centrale.

This place was amazing. Baking inside the cafe looks like it's been done for a long time. Almost worth a trip over the dumo.

Prob the best food in central station. They make a few fresh pasta dishes and have a variety of sandwiches and coffees. Very nice place.
