On one recent and pleasant day in Denmark, Gayle and I were on a bus tour, primarily to visit the nearby Voergaard Castle. Later in the day, we would continue to the Den Tilsandede Kirke or Sand Covered Church. In between, was a short lunch as we were running behind schedule.
With more time, we would have walked downtown, but we were lucky to find something closer to the bus. Bistro V is near the water, and their friendly staff did a great job navigating the menu for us and expediting our order. Most of our group went for either one of the open face sandwiches or a burger. I enjoyed a tasty soup dish of which name escaped me in translation. And of course, we tried one of the local beers! My choice was Vendia Bock, of which a "to go" bottle was part of the check.
This nice lunch left enough time for a short stroll along the water, and with enough sustenance to take us to dinner. read more
