The Feldberg is a popular destination for tourists, mountain bikers, hikers, bikers, families with young children, ... well pretty much people of all ages - in particular on weekends - throughout the year. The interior of the restaurant is a modern twist on a typical mountain restaurant - and is surprisingly comfy. Take note that especially on the busy weekends parties will be asked to share the large tables. The atmosphere fits the location and the wide range of guests and certainly is family friendly. The service is fast and very friendly, even so a majority of the staff is very young. The menu is multilingual - Hessisch, German & English - and includes hearty foot fit for active guests e.g. after a hike up a mountain, plus a few smaller snacks & a special kids' menu. Nothing fency but befitting and absolutely enjoable. So expect steak, Schnitzel and other meat offers - even so there are salads as well. The portions are big, the quality is very good and the prices are good as well - especially on the food there is no real surcharge for the great location. To sum it up: highly recommended location for a drink and a hearty meal after a hike, some mountain biking or to warm up after some fun in the snow. Year-round operation.
