We walked into Chez Charlie's. Hmmm washrooms bad so we left. Drove around more and more hungry. Landed at Cafe Bla Bla. Great name. Glad we did. A pretty cool place. Very nice staff. Great Monkey Bay white wine. Mother loved the onion soup. My Greek pizza was tasty but I wasn't convinced the toppings on the pizza had seen the hot oven. Tasty never the less. We would go back

Having been on the highway for over 8 hours, dropping off our daughter back at school, all we…read morewanted was to sit and have a good meal. While we were seated and menus dropped off quickly, that's where it all came to a grinding halt. I ordered the Steak Tartar appetizer, My wife (Caesar Salad), our daughter (Burger) and after an hour we were still without food. These are not complicated items!!! Guests that were seated after us were getting their meals quickly. When I questioned things (in English), I was looked down on and said it is on its way. When it finally did arrive the toast was burnt. I asked politely to replace it. 15 minutes later I still could not start my meal. When I questioned once again, the waiter argued with me. It was obviously the fact that I was English, even though my wife speaks French very well. Save your money and try La Buvette Du Centro (Great Patio, Food and service), just down the street.

It offers a great variety of third-wave coffee, including drip and chemex, as well as teas from Camellia Sinensis and even craft beers! The food menu is rather simplistic, but the different sandwiches and Latin American inspired fares (suh as quesadillas and molletes) are both affordable and filling. And they're also healthy and come in vegetarian options! The ambiance is definitely casual and warm, with indie music always playing in the background and rising artists' work exposed on the walls.

It's a small spot with limited seating, and they don't take reservations on weekends (only weekdays), so we waited a few minutes before being seated--but it was well worth it. The atmosphere is laid-back with a bohemian, university-style charm, and there's absolutely no pressure to rush your meal. The staff lets you enjoy your time, which adds to the relaxed experience. Most importantly, the food was very tasty. Pro tip: don't park at the restaurant--street parking only. The lower parking area is reserved for staff and tenants. Also note they only accept cash or debit cards.

If you love our feline friends, this will definitely be a 5 star visit for you. It was for me!…read more At first I wasn't sure I had found the right building, because there aren't any signs outside that say cat cafe, and the old sign above the door says it's a clothing store. Also, the door was locked but a sign in French said to ring the doorbell and wait to be admitted. It makes sense to keep the door locked so the kitties don't run outside when the door opens. A friendly Volunteer let us in, welcomed us, and explained the rules of the cafe and mission of the animal rescue. She was fluent in French and English. It was fun to drink coffee and eat a croissant here because cats are walking everywhere, jumping on visitors' laps and tables, and generally being curious and playful. I counted at least a dozen different cats and probably missed a bunch in my count because they were sleeping in hidden places. Every single one was a beautiful creature. I am happy that this fantastic rescue group of volunteers has given them all a great life and a chance to be adopted into a forever home.
