Very nice. Mother and I do not know any restaurants in Sherbrooke. We went for Sunday drive and thought we could find something cosy to have lunch and a glass of wine. She loves onion soup. We walked into Chez Charlie's. Hmmm washrooms bad so we left. Drove around more and more hungry. Landed at Cafe Bla Bla. Great name. Glad we did. A pretty cool place. Very nice staff. Great Monkey Bay white wine. Mother loved the onion soup. My Greek pizza was tasty but I wasn't convinced the toppings on the pizza had seen the hot oven. Tasty never the less. I stopped into Cafe Bla Bla in Sherbrooke yesterday for lunch on my way from Quebec City to New England. They had a nice outdoor deck. We walked in and the waitress said "sit anywhere" and we found a table on the deck. We were given menus and water. When the waitress came back I tried to order a bison burger with lettuce, tomatoe and mustard. She literally rolled her eyes, gazed down at me in frustration and said "no customization". I was incredulous as I have been to 10+ burger places in Quebec City and new england and NONE have ever told me I couldn't customize. I asked her to check on that and five seconds later she was back with "no customization" again. At this point, I was disgusted with the menu (which the bison burger is smothered under 5 very heavy and unhealthy toppings) and the nasty waitress' attitude. Dear Cafe Bla bla: What do you do if someone is allergic to one topping on the burger you want? Do you simply parrot: "No customization" and watch good cash-paying customers walk out the door? I guess you do. Because that is what my friend and I did. We left. Dear Cafe Bla Bla management: Please learn that the customer has a right to a dish cooked their way. You are not McD and your prices reflect such. If I'm going to pay $12+ for a stupid burger, I should have it the way I want it. And please FIRE the little witch of a waitress that was working there. She is the young one with the long dark hair and the bad attitude. Her face looks permanently stuck like she smelled something bad...and she was covering the deck outside. I was not sure if to give it a one star or 2 star review..I guess I am trying to think how bad to rate it. We arrived to the place since it has an extremely nice terrace and we were a big group with small kids. The service: while we got plenty of water and the menus fast, once we ordered it took them ages, I mean over an hour for burgers,Pizza, pasta and fries and I have no idea way ??? The Food: My pasta (vegetarian pesto) was good and my friends (meat auce) was also very nice, I guess they are great with pastas. The burgers were very dry (either from over cooking or waiting after they were done for so long). The Pizza was awful, basically bread almost no sauce and some cheese, and not a lot of cheese but a lot of bread. The fries were fine but small portions. Bottom line, I would not re-visit but its not a 1 star place so I will give it 2. slow-slow-slow service or maybe fast service but extremely long waiting for the food. If you do go there just order the pasta because everything else is not good. read more

I hate reviewing things, but I must protect you all. I hate dissing on restaurants, the business is hard, but man was this awful. We were on our way from Vermont to Quebec City, and this seemed like a normal establishment. I do not complain about service, since I was a waiter once, but it took like 20 minutes to even place an order. Now I'm ok with waiting at a slightly unreasonable time, but the real terrible thing was the food. Half of Cafe Bla-Bla's menu is burgers, so I figured why not get a burger. I ordered it French style, and received, quite literally, the worst burger I have ever eaten. The meat had to have been frozen and was just cooked until no moisture was there. The bread was that kind of bread that is so crunchy, like freezer burn. And there was so much bread, I never get rid of extra bread! The fries were the best part, and they were MUSHY, not even crunchy! I have never really thought bad of a restaurant, because I am so easy to please. But when you get TRULY god-awful beef, bread that has obviously been waited on for DAYS, and mushy fries (the best part!). How do I even put to words how much you should skip this place.... My sister ordered a panini as it was the one of the few vegetarian options. There was fish on it! She was half way through when she realized this! Is that not crazy???? Why is there fish on her vegetarian food? How did they mess up this, like who would even accidentally think fish would be good on pesto tomato mozzarella. For real, this is just a terrible restaurant. This stuff was overpriced af, I eat everything and I literally would pay to skip this meal. Very good. I had a lovely lunch on their outdoor cafe. The burger was quite large and juicy and the Sangria was delightful!
