What a simply outstanding experience!!…read more Several years ago while we were living out of state, we priced having our old patio furniture powder coated, but the prices were ridiculously high, and every company with whom we dealt had an attitude of indifference, as though our job wasn't big enough for them, and we were inconveniencing them. We spoke with several other companies at the time, and all their prices were so shockingly high that we gave up. The cost to powder coat was so close to the cost of new furniture, that we decided to live with it as it was until we were ready to get something new. When we recently moved to the area, we seriously considered leaving our old furniture behind, and buying a whole new set once we got settled. Instead, despite the pitiful appearance of our old furniture (we really hated to part with it), it made the move with us. After searching online for a respected local company, we decided to again try to find someone, and called J & J, based upon the great reviews. You know, you can't always believe those 5 star reviews, so we were somewhat skeptical. NOT THIS TIME! Those glowing reviews really are all true!! When we brought in our old furniture (large table, 2 rocker chairs, 2 armchairs, side table, coffee table) that honestly looked embarrassing after being exposed to harsh weather for over 15 years, Shawn didn't brush us off, like other businesses had done, but spent time explaining everything to us. It was obvious that this was a hard-working, honest man who genuinely loves what he does, truly values his customers and strives for nothing less than perfection. When we picked up our furniture, we were stunned - all the pieces looked better than new!! Perfection! The color, texture and attention to tiny detail was amazing - top quality work! We wholeheartedly, without any hesitation, recommend Shawn and his very friendly and helpful staff. Five stars isn't enough - we'd give TEN stars if that were possible! J and J Powder Coating recently done an excellent job on an old lawn chair for me. It was my…read moregrandmother's yard chair for many years. I recovered it after her passing almost 30 years ago. Although I have taken good care of it over the years, I felt like it needed honored better than a spray can of paint could do. I dis-assembled it and took it to J and J. They sand blasted it and put a yellow paint-powder coat finish that is (probably) better than when it was new imo. Yellow was its original color. After re-assembly, I am afraid to put it outside anymore because someone may steal it. It is that pretty. I am convinced that they approach each job as if it is their own personal item or items, no matter the size of the job. If you are considering powder coating anything J and J will do a fantastic job.
