Not much was open from 7-8pm, but we managed to walk away with some good food and fresh juices. The DJ was just winding down as well. My kids have gone a few times without me, and they raved about this BBQ mac and cheese vendor, and they've gotten chocolate covered strawberries. Tonight though, we hit up a Filipino food place (I was so hungry and cold I didn't get the name!) I know they are from National City, and he did say they would be here next week. We got a 5pc lumpia, and a sisig combo. I asked for garlic fried rice, but he gave me pancit. No worries, it was really tasty. The sisig was well seasoned with pepper, the crunchy bits of lechon were yummy. I am used to a little more onion, green onion, and pepper flakes with some calamansi, which is just my preference. Overall it was quite good. The lumpia disappeared in less than 5 minutes, so I'm guessing that was great as well. We stopped by Boba Sky for some guava fruit tea. Very kind and quick service. Nice prominent guava flavor, although too sweet for my tastes, my daughter liked it just fine. Last stop was Oh My Juice! I got a sample of passion fruit juice. We ended up with 3 drinks from the very nice gentlemen- kiwi, passion fruit, and pitaya (dragon fruit). Super refreshing. They are also down at the Spring Valley Swap meet on the weekends. Come visit the market for some good vibes, grub, and hospitality. :D .

While their catering service is still awesome, the everyday food here has completely missed the mark. On my recent visit, the al pastor was exceptionally chewy and the flavor was just off. To top it off, the service was incredibly unenthusiastic. The cashier had a poor attitude and seemed like she would rather be doing absolutely anything other than her job. Given the current prices and the noticeable drop in quality, I think it is best to stick to other taco shops in the area. I am giving this place 2 stars based on their past reputation, but I won't be back to this location.

They will give you a sample of drinks and meat if you request it. Al Pastor had a lot of grease and fat on it, carne asada tasted slightly better. Carne asada fries had a lot of fries and very little sour cream. Their salsa bar has a large salsa collection - none that tasted good to me. California burrito is around 8 inches and tasted okay...probably because I couldn't find a salsa I liked to pair with it.

It wasn't too busy and the line at the register was only about 3 deep. I ordered a California burrito with carne asada, al pastor taco, and suadero taco. This was to be taken home and split with my wife and was more than enough. There was a salsa bar with everything you could imagine that could pair with tacos. The California burrito was STUFFED with meat. It's crazy since other places overload it with fries. Not Los Chuchys. The carne asada was soooooo fire since it had that grilled flavor. The menu said it came with sour cream, but I didn't see/taste any. The al pastor taco was mid, but the suadero was amazing. I'd easily come back for carne asada ANYTHING.

Don't love this location, but downtown one hits every time !…read more I didn't realize they relocated, but I've been here twice and both times were a bust. I thought I'd stop by again to give it another chance, but no !! I definitely prefer the Downtown location way more. The asada was all right, it had a good smoky flavor, but nothing that stood out. Adobada was good, but it tasted cold which threw me off. Lengua I will say was probably the best out of everything I tried. Super tender and actually hit. I do love that the tortillas are handmade they tasted great! It brought the taco alive for a split second. Salsas were alright. The spicy wasn't that spicy, which was a little disappointing. They do have parking here and there's plenty of seating. Inside is a vibe, love the decor! Service was cool. I just wish the quality was more consistent because this location is way more convenient for me. I'd stick to the Downtown location if I were y'all. Probably won't be back.

I find swap meets to be kind of entertaining. Lots of knick knacks to sort through, kids toys and clothing, random things to see, and maybe you'll find something you didn't know you were looking for. I was specifically here for the fabric, and came across a few booths selling huge rolls and cutting them by the yard for roughly $1-$3 a piece. They had a wide variety from silk to velvet to cotton to fleece to linen to glittery mesh fabrics with lots of different prints. I chose a variety of floral patterns and a striped linen fabric. There was another booth that sold huge rolls of thread, zippers, bobbins, needles etc. you name it! Bought more stuff here. Including the admission fees ($1/person), I probably spent just under $20 for a bunch of fabric and sewing supplies. Looking forward to my next trip here!!
