I recently organised a small gig in Moseley with my band, but unfortunately we didn't really know anything about what we'd actually need beyond our instruments and were completely clueless about live sound. Luckily Birmingham Sound Hire were on hand to tell us exactly what we'd need and gave us a very reasonable rate for not only hiring the equipment, but also delivering it and setting it up. We rented out a PA system, which we had no idea how to actually work and Birmingham Sound Hire sent out an engineer to set it all up for us and explain how it works. He was very helpful and thanks to him we managed to get our heads round it in the end! We also rented out a lighting system, as the gig went on until the wee hours, which worked perfectly and added just the right ambience we needed to set the tone for the gig. Birmingham Sound Hire came down the next day at a time of our choosing to dismantle and return all the equipment for us, they basically put the gig on for us! The price for all the equipment, the delivery and the setting up was more than reasonable and we were glad to have chosen them and would gladly do it again! Maybe for the next gig! read more

I hired a small PA off this company for a party I was having and it sounded great. The service was excellent and when they had set everything up they explained it all to me so I knew exactly how to use everything.
