Bird Key Park is located right after the Ringling Bridge. it is a small public park at the foot of the iconic Ringling Bridge that offers great views of Sarasota Bay. This park has gorgeous views! It is best known for taking an exercise walk along the scenic views of the bay and fishing. You can also launch a kayak/canoe from this park. Read a book or even grab a hammock and string it along the palm trees along the bay. Bird Key Park is a local favorite.

Love this cool park along the water by and under the bridge from downtown Sarasota to Lido Key. Great water and bridge views. Nice benches. Rock to climb on. A dock. A nice walking path. Beachy areas. Night light and boat views as.they go by. Views of downtown Sarasota. Peeps fish here. Dog friendly. Great views day and night. Free parking as of 2022. Very fun spot. Recommend for the locals. Not really a tourist sight but dun to stop by if you're in the area.

peaceful nature love center control and so much more. If you are stressed come on over guaranteed that when you leave you will feel so much better. Rent a power bike take a ride and see all that this beautiful key has to officer believe me you won't regret it. Sometimes the sea is not just for swimming.

This is the best park for sunset views, picnic, and walking! Wish the parking spaces were bigger and the fishermen sometimes have fish cut up everywhere on the other side but definitely top of list for evening routine ‼

If you're tired of the beach, it's a great place to go sit, look out over the water. Enjoy a cool breeze if you're a dog person. They have dog water fountains. They have area where you can rinse your dog off and he's gotten in the salty water or she and it's a great time to sit down for a few hours to get away from the hustle and bustle

This park is hard to get to. It is very small. There is a nice walking path along the water. There is even a water station to get free water. This a leash required dog friendly park. The path goes in one direction. There is not much shaded areas here. Parking is free.

I am not from here but I can proudly say I have come now four times. The only upgrade I would make at this little park would be a bathroom. But the views, sunsets, waterfront, and plenty of places to sit along the shore makes this a perfect little spot for a chat or a stroll. The view on one side is of the harbor and the view on the other side is of the bridge is ascending over the harbor. I could never tire of the views. Definitely a must!

    Easter fun at bird key

We always have a nice time coming to this park and my dogs absolutely love it. There are so many things to do here. You can fish, launch a canoe or kayak, walk your dogs, look for shells, ride a bike, tie up a hammock, have a picnic, or jus sit, relax, and enjoy the view. I can't forget my dog's favorite thing to do, play in the water! This park is definitely dog friendly, there is a dog poo station and a hose down area for your pup after they go for a splash. The views there are great. You can see the bay and a nice view of Sarasota. There is also a huge green belt area you can take your dog to run but be careful it can get very muddy. It's a nice park to visit and it's a secret gem. Only downsides are there aren't any restrooms and the parking lot is small, but we have never have a problem with parking and it's free! It's our little relaxing hide away and our dog's favorite swim spot.

Bird Key Park is a nice place to see views of the Causeway Bridge in Sarasota. Bird Key Park has picnic tables, benches, and many parking spots. A lot of people fish on both sides of the bridge. We like to park here and walk across the bridge and back for exercise. Just a Note - Bird Key Park is located before St. Armands Circle on the right after you cross the bride coming from downtown. The correct address should be 101 Bird Key Drive.

Cute little park. It's perfect for sunsets (lots of benches), a run/walk, picnics etc and it's right on the bay. There are picnic tables and lots of water fountains for you and our little furry friends! Take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the water and sunsets.

Beautiful place to watch sun sets and relax.

I love Payne Park…read more I do NOT like too many of the people that use it. Recently, the number of unsupervised kids that are riding their bikes, scooters, and electric do dads are inconsiderate with their use of the sidewalks, their total lack of attention to their surroundings and other people. These kids need more adult supervision and parents need to take more time teaching them manners. I also am taking exception to the growing number of pet owners that think THEIR dogs don't need to be properly trained, leashed, or picked up after. The 5 O'Clock group of owners that let their dogs off theie leads and let them just take over a section of the park is non-sense. Read the signs. That is not acceptable. On several occasions, while just walking I have been run up on by dogs showing their teeth. I stop, sayd nice doggy and then move on. But some day, if I do get bit by one of these unruly monsters, their entiled owners will owe me money they haven't even made yet. I would like to see more of a park police presence for a while to get the kids and dog owners back to being decent people. And to the people that are feeding the ducks and squirrels, STOP. Read the signs. You aren't doing the wildlife any favors by feeding them and you aren't doing the other people that use the park any favors either. Payne Park is beautiful; a great place to enjoy the out of doors and the wonderful weather in Sarasota. Kids and Pet owners don't have the right to ruin the experience for everyone else. Oh, and teenagers, we know you are smoking pot there. Move away from the popular walking areas. Your weed smell like skunk butt.
